Didnt think Somerville was that bad towards the end of his career.

1995 - Draft selection: 15, Darren Wheildon - He would have been an absolute gun for us but damn that Taxi.

Draft selection: trade, Shane Strempel from Brisbane - By then it was too late Walls had his head punched in. :P

I have a feeling he got us on a finer point of the law - ie we disregarded his contract??

Ended his career under a taxi, I believe.

He missed a set shot at AAMI that is beyond belief.

I thought Corey McGrath was a very good little player for us. He was inexplicably dropped at the end of 2001 and I reckon it stuffed our finals campaign.

What about that gridiron player Dwayne someone - was it Armstrong ?

I tend to agree MH, he did show some promising signs early in his career, but given the team we had he was constantly in and out of the team. Sapped his confidence and never recovered. Was ordinary for his last 2 years or so with us, and really did not do anything at Carlton, had a very big hand in Port Melbourne's 4 point win over the Box Hill Hawks in the VFL elimination final last Sunday though.

 I had it in my mind that Henneman was in the 2000 premiership team but admittedly he was in the 2000 Ansett Cup (does that count???) :) :D - but he was pretty good as a defender till he did his knee just before the 2001 finals. He was never the same after.

Cheers - STI

Ah dear old Henno. As a footballer, he made a great non-footballer.
