this bloke has prior convictions, assaulted the cabbie, assaulted another man, yelled identifiably racists insults, threatened to kill and damaged property. not entirely sure that our player's incident had similar factors.

yeah i realise he had prior convictions (and obviously not a smart bloke) but he didn't actually physically assault the taxi driver (he had no injuries) which is what Hurley has supposedly done (hopefully incorrect). The following link says the taxi driver who Hurley is charged with assaulting received "minor injuries".

Let's just hope that all the publicity the Australia/India debate has been getting of late doesn't see him incurring a "similar" penalty.

The court heard Mr Brogden attacked Mr Thatipamula physically and told him he would kill him.

"I will kill you, you f---ing Indian bastard, you f---ing Indian c---," he said.

the cabbie wasn't injured, but he was physically assaulted. as was another man.

Yeah okay my mistake.

You have to wonder how he physically assaulted him when there were no injuries. I find that strange. He smashed one of the windows so was obviously pretty agressive yet didn't even cause a cut or bruise to the driver.
