Good to see Hille, Gumby, Demps, Stants and Laycock in the team. A much stronger team to the one that went to Subiaco

The Big Cock is slipping under the radar! Great to see him having a run and would expect him to play forward a fair bit with possibly a 3 way rotation between our rucks - 1 forward 1 on the ball and one on the bench!

Gimps loves the Big Cock! He will be excited!

From the AFL website:

Quick midfielder who won Peel Thunder’s best and fairest in the WAFL last year. Goes hard at the contest and is a chance to step up this season.

Draft history: 2010 Rookie Draft selection (Essendon) No. 30.

Not really, given our current injury list (or lack thereof for once) the coaches are probably rotating all of the younger guys through so they all have a chance to stake a claim for Round 1. Zaha & Jetta will probably be back in next week and some other blokes will be rested or miss out.

IMO Laycock has to put together at least 5 consecutive games in the magoos where he looks like he gives a shit before he plays a senior game.

Plus Hille and Ryder are too good to have on the bench for too long. I'd love to see Ryder spend a lot of time up forward this year.

It would be fantastic to see Paddy up forward. Just kick the ball high and long and get out of his way!

My idea of forward heaven would be Paddy and Hurls CHF and FF.
Too far for Baker now he's on to it, now he’s got it, OPEN GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Dons are in front by one point at the 8 minute mark

I don't see what the big deal is about having Paddy up forward...

For mine he is a born defender/Ruckman which is where I would like to see him play for the next 15 years

I don't think he was a born defender, given he hadn't played in the backline until a certain nutjob whose players can play everywhere became his coach. BTW I think it was a great idea and it worked well but...

1. I don't like having the back-up ruckman playing in the backline. The backline should stay pretty steady IMO and that means minimal rotations.
2. Pears is going to be a star and Hooker will be very good. No need for Paddy to play there.

Ryder's time in the backline would have taught him a lot, but now he can play in the forward line and in the ruck. Plus he is so athletic, jumps so high and can run all day - he will be a very tough match-up for opposing backlines.

May have been Windy, but I don't think that one had any connection to the WA Howlett's.I stand corrected if I'm told otherwise.
