2 goals from his turnovers, and then loses a direct one on one against Swan for another goal. And it's still the 1st quarter.

But two weeks ago, I remember him being compared to Luke Hodge. Knights might give him three years at $800k just based on that assesment.

Two weeks is a long time in football - but yeah he did have a couple of solid games a couple of weeks back. But Stants has always been a front runner - he looks great when things are going well, bit then I suppose they all do.

Not going well tonight

Im watching on a big screen TV, Slatts is in the corner of it as Didak takes an uncontested mark in the forward 50.

Wouldn't be judging too much on his performance tonight when we get done by a squillion. He had 21 mates tonight.

I have been telling you guys playing him as a defender is a BAD mistake. All it has done has freed him up to accumilate possessions so he can have his usual 30+ touches with 15+ turnovers.

Only difference is, now his turnovers are almost guaranteed to cost us a goal each.

Great work coach!!

Stanton's had his one good game leading into salary negs. Coast to the line now - no need to do anything too strenuous - no need to chase or put his head over the ball - deliver it to a team mate or tackle his direct opponent hard. Nup......let's just coast to the line and take a pay rise and be lorded by the rabble that is our Board and coaching staff.

I've had enough of this bloke and Slattery and Welsh and Neagle and Ryder and Knights.

Unless there are some serious changes in the off season the EFC will not be getting the usual coin I tip in for my Membership package. I suspect many are feeling the same.

I hope the combined losing tally against our two arch enemies in the past fortnight acts as a catalyst for change - but I'm not going to hold my breath.

After it became obvious we were going to lose and so I got bored and was searching for something to do...
(i.e. about the 20 min mark of the first quarter)
I started counting how many times Stanton turned it over or gave it to someone under pressure who then turned it over.
I completely lost count it just happened so many times.

Some of the youngsters (especially Collyer) turned it over quite a lot too, but I can kinda forgive them as they are only in their first year. What is Stanton's excuse? Or McVeigh's?
