Travis Cloke

Post by boncer34 »

So while your all still screaming about how we didn't participate in trade week have a think about this one. T. Cloke is close to walking out on Collingwood, GC cant pay him, WCE dont want him, Rich want Houli so could very easily fall to us in the PSD. Do it IMO.

from what I can understand.

Ess were offered pick 46 for houli.

which the dons were NOT interested in because the club is only planning on picking up 3 kids max in the ND.(pick 8,pick 30 and pick 47).

so all the trade would have effectively done is upgrade 47 to 46. which will probably be achieved anyway if houli enters the National Draft.

no doubt we offered up Houli + pick 47 for pick 29, but got a no from richmond.

if Houli goes PSD, then it upgrades our PSD pick, which could be a good thing.

wrong thread. gah.

but kinda back on topic. cloke or another uncontracted player might fall to us with houli going PSD. its a better result than trading houli for pick 46.

doesnt excuse essendon for not trying to make some other trades around the comp though.....

Glad you know what we did. We actually made plays for Vespremi, Hale, Surjan, Mundy and probably a few others I didn't mention.

I just hope that we can get Houli to go into the PSD, though I'm not sure how we can do that.

Surely it will be beneficial for him to do so, I could be wrong but as far as I was aware you can name your price in the PSD but in the national don't you just receive first year players salary? I could be wrong but for some reason that's my understanding.

This.

And if Cloke did go into the PSD, surely Richmond would pick him, even if they only had one spot left and just tell Houli to get f*****.

No chance of Cloke leaving Collingwood. As their best tall forward he would be on a fair pay packet wouldn't he?

Absolutely no interest in getting this guy. Would be funny if he left though.

It's amazing how consistently people who have their father as their manager are complete f***tards.

......and so the big lug accepts 2 years as offered and life goes on. His old man should be locked in a dark room until any form of trading is over.

Apparently Damir Dokic is available and looking for work - from all reports an excellent father/manager.
