Solid.

I hope Reimers and Hibberd get a game and Slattery isn't the third in.
Aaron Francis is the Messiah.

i see Slats is named on the field so that's 1 "in"

Hardingham named at HF

has to be Hille, Ryder, Lonergan and you'd think Reimers out of that bench..... but who knows

Surprised that Pris was axed after only 1 game but his pace is suspect.

What we most need from last week is BIG games from Monfries , Ryder & to a lesser extent Hurley. Only 1 goal from these 3 last week , expect much more this game. Unbelievable that Monfries had a routine set shot from 35 metres & could'nt make the distance in the last quarter , if he kicks even a point , we win.

Is his groin OK ? Can he get enough power with his kicks ? He had problems here after the 1st game.

Prismall wont be happy..... but maybe like Knights "didn't get Essendon" Prismall doesn't "fit into Essendon"

With Bomber Thompson and Brendan McCartney around as coaches he must be feeling a sense of "deja vu"....

Does the team look slow to you guys?

If Riemers comes in then obviously it will look quicker.

Will 3 ruckman work? The only way is if Ryder plays up forward all game and stretches their defence.

We really need a small defender if Slattery has to be rushed back in.

All pretty predictable, except for the fact that they pulled the trigger on Prismall after one game. I'm not complaining - he was terrible against Carlton - i just thought he'd get a second chance. Good to see the coaches are setting standards, anyway.

Nervous about Slattery. The pace of Collingwood's small forwards like Krakouer, Blair or Dick will worry him and he has the tendency to panic and constantly infringe when that's the case.

Strange bench - Hille and Rider??? Makes me think that the final bench composition may be dependant on weather and maybe someone with an injury concern coming up (otherwise perhaps Hille may be named as sub).

Reimers surely must make the 22 (and preferably the 21).

Will watch developments with interest.

Interesting team... had a feeling that Slats might play due to Coll stack of smaller forwards.

Hille, Ryder and Lonergan would be definate ins and i would play Reimers as well. If Jolly doesnt end up playing for the Pies then perhaps Hille might be a late withdrawal??

Have to wonder about Prismall's future at the moment, out of contract and really needs to pick up his game.

was my first concern when they changed sunday's open training session to a closed session....... maybe Ryder has gone down seeing as he is on the extended bench

He was backing out of contests against Carlton - nothing to do with his pace - a lot to do with his heart

Reimers better get a game. If Welsh gets a gig before him we can probably say goodbye to Reimers when at seasons end. There is just good reason why he should be played.

If the weather is good may as well play all three ruckman and try something different against Collingwood. Hille and Ryder can swap forward to rest and Bellchambers can go to the bench.

This game is a big test - not only of the playing group.

If Welsh or Slattery play in front of, or in preference to, Reimers then I think we have virtually given up this game at selection. We lost pace and an element of skill with the loss of Widerlich and Dempsey - it will not be replaced with Welsh and Slattery. If these guys are left exposed on the Collingwood forward line - the Filth's small brigade will dance us into an early grave.

22c and sunny says to me - expose their KPP's, play straight, play quick and tall.

Hille, Reimers and Davey.
My material isn't very good..Oh...and then there's the bladder problem.

He was named in the best last week in the 2's, seriously he must be a great clubman because he pretty much did nothing all day. As much as he looks like Gary O'Donnel he isn't him and it's about time the Essendon coaching staff realize this. I have watched him closely throughout his career as my surname is also Slattery and I personally believe he will be the worst Essendon player in history to play 100 games for the club. He's slow in his mind and also leg speed and I'm sick and tired of hospital handpasses and up and under kicks from him. Your right Swoodley if he gets a game we are gone, Didak, Dick and Krakouer will kick 6 between them all running off Slattery.

Bit harsh on Slats there... has done some wonderful jobs for us in the past. Yes his decision making isnt the best but he has a strong body and definately will be needed against the Pies smaller forwards. Along with McVeigh and Hardingham we should match up on the likes of Didak and Krakouer quite well..

Confirmation that we will be playing 3 ruckmen!
