The jumper is on, the cap is donned, the beer is cold, the TV is loud, the laptop is ready.

Forget Australia Day, this is the day that defines the very fabric and psyche of our country. This is ANZAC Day. We have the privilege of watching our team on this day as we remember those that gave everything for their country and continue to do so today.

I recall being a 17 year old Navy Reservist marching on ANZAC Day and these old WWI diggers were actually clapping and cheering US as we marched past them to the Hobart Cenotaph. I had tears rolling down my face during the Last Post and I still battle to stay composed during it to this day because of that moment 27 years ago. Those men and women were something special. They're gone now but we still have many great hero's amongst us from subsequent conflicts, right through to today.

If you know one, shake their hand, or hug them, or just say thank you. Lest We Forget. Every single one of them.

3 pts in a qtr from at least 14 F50 entries. Nobody can hold a damned mark. C'MON!!

We're matching them everywhere except the scoreboard.

Thats the most frustrating part... should really be even on the scoreboard. Tackling and pressure has been great..

David Hille really looks slow out there.

1/2 time... down by 19 but really should be closer if not leading... 3.8 for a half of footy is not good enough.

Much better use of the footy in the 2nd quarter though was pleasing. Umpires have been shit so far... even Fletch had to laugh at that hands in the back decision.

Swan, Cloke and Dawes not in it really and Pendlebury was a lot quieter.

Watson, Stanton (1st quarter aside), Heppell, Crameri, TB, Jetta, Hocking, Lonergan all great.

Need more from Ryder, Hille, Hurley, Gus and Zaka

We're in this big time.

Doesn't help when soft free are given to Dawes in front of goals and Crameri's marks only for a boundary maggot to say it was out of bounds (when he was clearly in).

Stanton playing alright but hated him looking for footsteps and fumbling running into an open forward 50.

Paddy needs to lift.

Better work. We just need to convert the chances. Good forward pressure through the second qtr to keep the ball in. We just need to jag a few marks inside the arc. The tall timber needs to lift. Haven't seen much from Paddy, Hille or Hurley yet.

We arrested the ascendancy from the filth and now need to convert the hard work. Would have loved Leroy to have jagged that late one. it would have provided a big boost going into the the break.

We're in it up to our necks and if the boys can snag the first goal in the 3rd she'll be on big time.

Complete lack of composure in the first half, looking like bunnies in headlights! Paddy and Hille haven't had any impact. Umpires are on the verge of causing a riot - appalling and disgraceful don't describe their incompetence. Good thing is, despite all of that, we're ONLY 3 goals down! Pep talk from Hirdy should get them going and deliver a big 2nd half!

14 points down at the last change when we had cut the margin to 2 points... once again Stants has a brain fade which sent the momentum back to the Pies.

Heppell, Crameri, Jetta and Watson outstanding. Hocking doing a good job on Swan.

Reimers is on and Gus subbed off...

will be a missve last qtr... we need the first goal to be any chance!!

It wasn't a 30pt loss. We were a serious chance right up to the last 5-10 minutes.

I hate losing but there is so much to look forward to. :)

I think we all do.... just little 50-50 things didint go our way today and we had a shocker of a first quarter which was the difference.

Watson- 7/10 ripper game by the captain again but did make a few uncharacteristic errors which were a little costly. Hard gut running at its best.
Stanton- 5/10 made a few bad clangers today, tried hard to redeem himself but wasnt really sighted after 1/2 time
Monfries- 3/10- completely out played by the Pies defenders, was subbed off.
Jetta- 8/10- one of the best chasing and tackling games from Leroy... really created some opportunities for us and kept O'Brien and Davis accountable.
McVeigh- 6/10 battled hard but looked a little slow at times.
Zaka- 7/10- a bit quiet but kicked a couple of great goals. Need to see a bit more from him
Lonergan- 7/10- turning into one of our better in and under mids... always had his head over the footy
Melksham- 6/10 great first half but disappeared after that a little.
Hurley- 5/10- needed more from the big man but was well held by Tarrant.
Hille- 7/10- shocking start to the match but got better as it went on. 2 great goals as well.
Slats- 7/10- Made a few errors but overall i thought he was pretty solid
Heppell- 9/10- SUPERSTAR played like he was a 200 gamer
Hooker- 6/10- Cloke got all over him in the last, was ok before that
Ryder- 4/10- disappointing... dropped most marks he went for today
Fletch- 8/10- besides the last shocker again was a general in the back 50m
Hardingham- 7/10- wow can this boy mark a footy, another super game
Reimers-4/10 came on in the last but didint get much of it, selfish play in the last when he went for goal instead of passing to a teammate
Hocking- 7/10- great game in the middle and did a good job on Swan
Howlett- 7/10- besides the 1st quarter was one of our better players today, wonderful skill under pressure
Natrat- 6/10- Hard body at the footy was ok but was outmarked on a few occasions that led to Pies goals
Bellchambers- 7/10- another great game from the big man!!
Crameri- 9/10- a real gem off the rookie list, 4 goals and looked super dangerous.
