Team v Freo

Post by j-mac31 »

Obviously 25 man squad at this moment.

In: Welsh, Watson, Hurley
Out:

Surprised to see Welsh in, I don't think he's played enough VFL since his last injury. Also we're sending a dead f****** slow team over to Subiaco.

NLM, Stanton, Browne, Bellchambers, Welsh, Heppell and Hibberd.

I found this interesting

Ess AVE games - 79
Fre AVE games - 66

Ess AVE age - 23y 204d
Fre AVE age - 23y 204d

and given we have Fletch, McVeigh, Welsh and Hille contributing to those numbers, that's a young team! i didn't realize we were that young, can understand our form slump a bit more

Hope your right... Heppell and Hibberd were good last week, Stanton seems to get a game no matter what and hopefully NLM will be the Sub. Hirdy has picked a very slow side... Slattery, Welsh, Watson and Lonergan all in the same team, hope we don't get run off our feet.

Reimers = Hird's whipping boy.

Unless he is injured there is no other reason.

I can live with the fact that every coach has one - it is how the individual responds and the team performs.

Agree.

I am going to go out on a limb and say that we have got Sheedy back on the coaching panel. Seems as though mates are getting picked, no matter how slow and shit they are.

We are now carrying the following players
Welsh - underdone
Stanton - injured
NLM - plain shit
Paddy - heart the size of a pea

We are not good enough to carry one passenger let alone 4. Perhaps we are tanking?

So bring in slow players who are underdone on a big ground? Into a team that is already slow?

Surprised with the Welsh inclusion also. They must have a particular job in mind for him. Great to see Watto and Hurley back. Helps our structure, and you know Hurley will provide a contest in the air and on the ground when we move inside 50.

Reimers must have done something wrong to piss the coaches off. Can't explain him not getting a few games in a row, and pushing him into the middle.

We still have a bit of legspeed though. Colyer looks like he may stay in. Always going to be tough losing two of our quickest guys in one game for the season. Also, Davey not doing too much to force selection.

actually from what ive heard from Hird on Reimers is i think he really likes him and see's a talented kid but is struggling to extract the right attitude from him, so he is very very blunt in his actions towards him. get that attitude and i think we'll see a real player

remember he stayed in the team until he took that shot on goal from 50 with a loose man near the square and boom out of the team again

Tough love! :D

Come to think of it you are right, he has mentioned how much he likes Kyle, and having him around the club numerous time.

Welsh might play as a small forward as try and create defensive pressure.

I hope our blokes dont do their usual trick and get last on the big ground. With any luck there will be a lot of Dons supporters making a bit of noise.

Bellchambers, Hibberd, Lonergan - OUT

Bellchambers we all expected.

Tipping Hibberd and Lonergan are sore.

No chance they would omit Lonergan, like you said, must be sore. Wouldn't be surprised, has been battered in the clinches in the last few weeks.

Might also explain the Welsh inclusion.
