On a more serious note, but related to the same theme. Is it fanciful to speculate that we may be keeping our powder dry as it were, until free agency comes in. We are already all cashed up and ready to go according to reports. i.e. We have to put up with this (not so)short term pain...(read CRAP) in order to reap the benefits of the long term gain that free agency may bring.....Thoughts anyone?

Essendon Pull Off Recruiting Coup

In a startling move, the highlight of this year's Trade Week is the shock news that Gary Ablett Jnr has agreed to join the Bombers. In a stunning last minute trade, Essendon has agreed to pass on Mark McVeigh and Andrew Welsh to the Gold Coast Suns.

In announcing the deal of the century, Essendon spokesperson Paul Hamilton said "f*** me the guy can walk on water which will surely help when we play outdoors." Hamilton also mentioned that "McVeigh and Welsh could now work on having a real sun tan."

It is anticipated that the Bombers will resume training in early November and will travel to Bali to push the existing squad and their brigade of stellar recruits to new levels of shiteness. Some under performing players will be required to carry "special packages" through customs.

Essendon Pull Off Recruiting Coup

In a startling move, the highlight of this year's Trade Week is the shock news that Adam Sandilands has agreed to join the Bombers. In a stunning last minute trade, Essendon has agreed to pass on its second round draft pick, Kyle Reimers and Angus Monfries to Fremantle in return for Sandilands.

In announcing the deal of the century, Essendon spokesperson Paul Hamilton said "in light of the success of the Three Ruck Experiment, we felt that throwing another ruck on the paddock and chucking out some of the shortarses could only make us a bigger, better unit".

It is anticipated that the Bombers will resume training in early November and will travel to China to push the existing squad and their brigade of stellar recruits to new levels of splendiferousness.

In a startling move, the highlight of this year's Trade Week is the shock news that Brett Harvey has agreed to join the Bombers. In a stunning last minute trade, Essendon has agreed to pass on its 1st pick and Patrick Ryder, David Hille, and Tom Bellchambers to North Melbourne in return for Harvey.

In announcing the deal of the century, Essendon spokesperson Paul Hamilton said the experiment with having a Gnome playing at Full Forward in the last part of the year, has awoken the club to the untappaed potential Harvey had as a ruckman. We had much great success with another member of his family, so we are keen for the family history at Essendon to continue.

It is anticipated that the Bombers will resume training in early November and will travel to Disneyland to push the existing squad and their brigade of stellar recruits to new levels of brilliance. David Evans has remarked that Sleepy, Grumpy, Happy, and Sneezy have set world's best practice bench marks, and that our tremendous small brigade will have soemthing to look up to, both figuratively and literally.

Complete with the mandatory fluff piece to give supporters hope every year. Only thing missing is Mark Bolton's record time run around The Tan.

Don't joke - Harvey did once get a hitout.
