Been around for a while.

Depends on what we give up. I think he only really had one good year. Will definitely help our midfield but I would rather us chase harder for Dangerfield.

What will we need to give up to get Vince?

Good player, just gone stale.

Would be a great get, and i would be happy to give up a fair bit to get him.... just what we need.... Should have got Mundy last year, but Vince i reckon could turn out as good.

From The Roar on 7 JUne...
What do the Crows need in return? Aside from a serious injection of a drug called ‘consistency,’ another hard nosed, in an under midfielder to help future best and immanent best and fairest Scott Thompson out in the stoppages, or a midfielder with a reliable kick and some dash to help with transition from half back to half forward.
Sounds like Ricky Dyson to me ...

would be very handy and if we give up Dyson that would be a great deal but wont happen surely we will need to give up a pick aswell

is he contracted to Adelaide for next year? like will Adelaide have to make do with whatever they can get from us?

This year's supposed to be a shit draft, so Dyson + pick is a good deal.

I must admit to not knowing much about Vince. Does he play inside, outside or both? I'm not sure Dyson would be too appealing to other clubs (although you never know, see Houli  ) and given Adelaide may want an inside midfielder too, maybe we'd have to throw in Lonergan.

Also, given Dangerfield re-signed last year, I can't see him coming over.

Indeed. I love Lonergan's work rate too, but Watson, Hocking and Howlett do the tough stuff and are more complete players. I would not be disappointed moving a player who is borderline in our best 22 to improve the midfield.

I've heard they are rating this years draft as a belter..

Would love to get Bernie Vince to the club, would just add another dimension to our midfield and inject a bit of class.

Considering its a poor draft I would offer our first rounder to the Crows, doubt they would want any of our players... maybe Prismall??

you lot are delusional.

Ricky Dyson for Bernie Vince? you have got to be joking!

still if it did happen in some bizarre world. =D> =D> =D>

now is not the time to go for established talent. GWS and the Suns mean we'd pay way over the odds.

Why couldn't it happen?
Collingwood got their Target players for next to nothing.
Lets face facts - We now have our new home on the horizon ( The Best in Aus)
And the Great Man Hirdy in charge with Bomber at his side. Not forgetting Goodwin too...
Hmmm You tell me lol
Would love for it to happen.
Please make it happen

That's next year, this year is considered very shallow, particularly when GWS will dominate the first rounds.

Even clubs that require big cleanouts might just hold on to next year to do it.

If Mumbles Craig keeps going the way he his, there is every chance Goodwin will be back at Adelaide next year.

Who said Dyson for Vince as a straight swap. The posts I can see are suggesting Dyson + pick(s) for Vince

Apparently Goodwin won't go back next year anyway. Will want to do at least a couple more years as an assistant. And considering he is working with Bomber and 2 other assistants who have been around for a while, why would he jump in so early?

To be honest, I'm not that excited about the prospect of getting Vince. Don't think he is that good.

our first rounder(which will be in the teens given all of GWS's picks, plus the priorities given to the other basket cases)
+ dyson? a guy who hardly cracks it in our best 22?

no chance.
