if we didn't have Hibberd then i would say yes but in saying that with Fletch about to retire and McVeigh expendable he could slot in nicely

Irrelevant. I just watched the press conference, McGuire was asked the question as to whether Shaw would be moved on given his "last chance" statement following the 2008 incident, and McGuire said "we'll give him as many chances as it takes, we're happy with his development as a person" etc.

When did we all get so precious about intellect? Matty Lloyd wasnt exactly a rocket scientist, but like Shaw, he is a smart footballer.

He would be in our best 4 players if he came to Essendon.

.....he tried to take the blame for his mate, to keep his mate out of the deep shit, and he had a $10 punt with a bit of inside info. I hope these are the worst things my own kids do in their lives.

This is a good point. Penalty is there to send a message. Pretty much case closed.
