Well their midfield did cut us up in the first half and greatly exposed us.

I think we are taking a bit too much out of this game.

Everyone has been cutting us up in first qtrs/halves. I am happy to take this win with open arms

However, we have to get out of the blocks earlier against the scum if we are to have half a chance. Cant give Top 8 sides 6 goal starts

We might want to also thank Knighta for Zaharakis, Hurley, Melksham, Hooker, Howlett, Hardingham, Pears and probably a couple of others.

Alot of our problems were started before Knights got to our club. In fact, he cleaned up alot of rubbish, but the pile of shit was just too big for one man with limited experience.

Knights' mistake was telling the board that he could turn our list into premiership contenders within three years. You never walk into a job over-promising. You are simply setting yourself up for failure.

Re Friday night's game; the Crows were putrid in the second half. Their disposal to their forwards in particular was abhorrent. It was a great comeback and win, but we were given a bit of help.
Like sand through the hour glass, so are the days at the Essendon Football Club.

Spot on. I think he would have been better suited than Hardwick simply as he can detatch himself from his mates and make the hard decisions (Solly, JJ, MJ, Rama, Michael, Lucas and Lloyd)

Hirdy will have that decision to make soon on McVeigh, Welsh & Hille. Will he be able to make the hard call?

And blame Dodoro for Myers, Kepler, etc.?

Hardwick did say he would make a lot of changes straight away if he got the job, so perhaps he would have got rid of those guys.

Kepler was pre-Knights. Sheeds stuffed up our recruiting, had too much of a say. Maybe Knights trusted Dodoro and he was able to make better decisions? Maybe Knights identified quickly what was needed and told Dodoro what was required, rather than just getting speculative picks in the 1st round.

Knights had alot to do with player improvement on an individual basis, he was just shit with his game plan and opposition planning. His game plan needed alot to go right for it to work and if it didn't, we got screwed.

Under Hird/Bomber, while we have been found out at times, it isn't just because of the game plan, it is due to a lack of running (players may be tired, injured, not fit enough physically and mentally etc) but at least it doesn't require everything to go right for it to work.

My point though, was that we can't thank Knights for some and blame Dodoro for others. Myers in particular.
