Elimination Final: Carlton v Essendon - pre-game discussion
Walker will not play this week, so will be underdone if he plays against us in the final.
Aaron Francis is the Messiah.

Too far for Baker now he's on to it, now he’s got it, OPEN GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Dons are in front by one point at the 8 minute mark

Re: Elimination Final: Carlton v Essendon - pre-game discuss
Walker did play tonight, but they didn't have a dominant forward to kick to THIS IS SOMETHING WE HAVE TO DO ASWELL!!
Kruzer hurt himself and apparently they are short on talls, OUR TALLS MUST STAND UP!!
in saying all that o'Haiplin or whatever the f*** it is is a strong big body and we must stop him, if he even looks like getting on top of Pears or whoever gets him i think, Hurley might have to go back for at least a qtr and see what he can do, but fletch will help out but they will want to stop that too
very interesting game being set up!

Hurley to play forward - Hille to play forward. Jetta, Froggy, Gus and Reimers at their feet.
Frighten the shit out of those pricks.
O'halfwit needs to be countered - Tayte with a midget at his feet - one out.
Stop Judd - we win. It'll be won out of the middle - and we have our best chance with Jobe and Heath fit and firing.
SOOOOOOOOOOOOO pumped after watching the Aints do the job on the Scum!!!!!!

We must go through Yarrans man. Use him whenever we can. Take him deep into the backline. He doesn't like it.

Kreuzer most unlikely to play given he was taken to hospital immediately after the game to find out wtf the c*** did to his foot - apparently had problems in the warm up and, obviously, didn't see out the first half.
Take this for what it's worth from Robbo on Game Day - talk of c*** Judd being looked at for an alleged sling tackle last night. My guess is even if his opponents head made a 2 foot indent to the turf and fractured every single bone in his head, the c*** would get off!
Edit: Nothing in it

Nothing in it, but there was nothing in Hocking's either.Malky wrote:Kreuzer most unlikely to play given he was taken to hospital immediately after the game to find out wtf the c*** did to his foot - apparently had problems in the warm up and, obviously, didn't see out the first half.

Certainty that Judd will not be looked at. 75% of that because there was nothing in it.
Re: Elimination Final: Carlton v Essendon - pre-game discuss
Judd will play but Carlton fan's are worried he is spent from carrying Carlton all year, hit him hard early and see how it affects him for the game
nobody has any idea but everyone has written off Kruezer already, id be surprised if he doesn't play

Re: Elimination Final: Carlton v Essendon - pre-game discuss
Kreuzer had a numb foot.
Causes for numbness...neurological or vascular.
Neuro...might just need a manipulation if a nerve is pinched, but it sounded sensory only. That'd be unusual. Spinal nerve verses local nerve...
Vascular...maybe arterial blockage? If so, almost certainly out. It'd need some immediate management, or risk cell damage.
Tests today or tomorrow, so immediacy unknown. Is he diabetic? Never heard that.
Quite the mystery.

Re: Elimination Final: Carlton v Essendon - pre-game discuss
This is all I want.
A game free of injuries and a well umpired game.
Simple, thats it. I just don't want to feel ripped off and i don't want either the scum supporters or us having any excuse to whinge.
of course asking for that might be a bit much.

To be fair, the umpiring in finals is usually much better than during the regular season. The shit umpires don't get to umpire any games, and the umpires left generally let the game flow more and are less hellbent on imposing themselves on the game (with the odd exception, e.g. McBurney in the 2009 GF running around and paying controversial, technical free kicks to attract attention to himself).
Think about all the close finals matches played over the last 10 years, and it's rare that you could say the umpiring affected the outcome of many of those games.

yeah its the interpretations of hands in the back, holding the ball and deliberate out of bounds that i reckon might have my head in my hands.jimmyc1985 wrote:Me too.little_ripper wrote:This is all I want.

oh i have one more wish, and thats for regardless of the result, for brent stanton to have a ripper of a game without any stand out hand in mouth moments. (you know the sort which in the past have made him a whipping boy for some supporters).

Re: Elimination Final: Carlton v Essendon - pre-game discuss
also lets be honest. Knocking the scum out of the finals, when they are clear favourites, is in my opinion the next best thing to winning the flag.
its time for some real revenge for 1999.
(2000 was sweet, but we were also shit hot that year, always going to go on and win the flag with such a strong side and no real injuries.)
