The 3 players you are most excited about watching in 2012
Which three Essendon Players are you most excited about watching in 2012 and for what reason.
For mine
1) Travis Colyer - really thought he showed some glimpses late last year and from all reports has bulked up and is looking very impressive\
2) Stuart Crameri - just thought he was fantastic last year and cant wait to see him in tandem with Hurley across the forward line
3) Scott Gumbleton - ok so I am going out on a limb here but if the news is true, he is 100% clear on his back and hamstring problems. I have faith (albeit blind)

1- Jason Winderlich- missed seeing Licha speeding around our forward line last year. Will add yet another dimension to our midfield/forward line.
2- Travis Colyer- super exciting talent and I really hope he gets a chance to play more senior matches in 2012.
3- Corey Dell'Olio- yes he is rookie listed but from what I hear he is super around goals and capable of kicking bags on a good day. Hope he starts well for Bendigo and puts pressure on Davey for a spot in the senior side.

Heppell - to see if he can back up last year
Crameri - to see him progress on last year
Watto - if he can keep uninjured, surely he's a chance for the Chas.

Crameri - every time he gets near the ball I feel like something good could happen.
Carlisle - hopefully he can turn him into a power forward this year.
Melksham - has a bigger body and a couple of seasons under his belt now. Expecting big things.
Isn't Gumbleton still recovering from his latest op? I thought him and Hurley were on a modified training program. I think Hurley is a good enough player to deal with an interrupted pre-season, hopefully anyway. The other bloke probably won't play again for the EFC.

Hurley- Going to tear the comp apart in 2012.
Heppell- Will be interesting to see how he goes as opposition clubs will now try tactics to stop his run off half back.
Fletcher- Because the guy is a freak and we won't be able to be excited about watching him for too much longer....maybe.

Hurley - would love to see him put in an injury free season
Zaharakis - can he continue to improve and move towards elite status?
Melksham - has a nice bit of mongrel about him and should be all the better for another pre season campaign

Re: The 3 players you are most excited about watching in 201
Hurley - he could be anything - although an interupted preseason hasn't helped.
Reimers - want to see more consistent performances.
Hibberd - set back in 2011 should make him hungy - has ability and mongrel.

My material isn't very good..Oh...and then there's the bladder problem.

Hibberd
Carlisle
Colyer
Mainly becasue we have seen just enough of all three players to suggest that they may have a future with the club.

Too far for Baker now he's on to it, now he’s got it, OPEN GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Dons are in front by one point at the 8 minute mark
Re: The 3 players you are most excited about watching in 201
My 3 are all players that have had interruptions to their development, some more than others.
Pears. Showed plenty early on, and an injury free run might see him return to that and more. He's important to the future.
Myers. Interested to see him develop. He does some good things, and needs to improve how often he can do them.
Gumbleton. I'm unsure whether "excited" is the right word, but I want to see him get a clear run at it.

Courtenay Dempsey - he''l show everyone why he was missed last year
Tayte Pears - hopefully back to his best or better
Michael Hurley - if he can lift another cog it will be great viewing

+1 If I had to pick three, its these by a fair way.BenDoolan wrote:Courtenay Dempsey - he''l show everyone why he was missed last year

Although I do believe Jetta has had his break out year in 2011 and will continue on to be a great small forward this year, could be one to watch. My roughy is David Myers too. Have not given up on him really turning into a fine player.
Re: The 3 players you are most excited about watching in 201
Nick O'Brien - Could be the steal of the draft.
Dempsey - Was hitting his straps before the injury, bit more bulk, should be better if the knee is ok.
Filthy - Expecting a big come back. He should return bigger and better than ever as Filthy The Third.

Carlisle - we may have an exceptional quality CHF on our hands here, this should be the year we find out for certain
Melksham - has plenty of talent, just needs more experience and body strength to deliver consistently and this should be the year it starts to happen
Zaharakis - stepped it up a notch last year and I think he can take it even further this season
