Votes vs Scum

Post by s'dreams »

This is hard ... and apols to many including Davey, Belly, and Watson 0  but I want to reward a few who did a job to perfection

5. Stants
4. Hooker
3. Hibberd
2. Crameri (2-3 gaols in semijunk time ... as a forward ... must learn to kick better )
1. Hocking ... shut down Judd brilliantly

I would like to see a whole match for the little refrigerator repair man! He looked like he could be a very tough little bugger, liked what I saw of him. Well done to him!

Tough Call

5 - Stanton....surely leading the Brownlow count after 4 rounds - sorry for the americanism but quarterbacked the team beautifully today
4 - Crameri - should have kicked 8 goals, just fierce at the contest, is making up for Hurls' average form at the moment (and now injury absence)
3 - Hibberd - just quietly, his best game. Was disciplined and effective.
2 - Watson - normal excellent performance
1- Hocking - just a great game at closing down their midfield (ditto Sammy Lonergan)

Apologies to Belly, Fletcher, Heppel, Howlett, Davey and Dyson

edit note - sorry orignally mentioned Hardingham, actually meant Hibberd

No passengers at all and I could have given votes to a number of others.

What I liked most was that Judd, Murphy, Kreuzer, Betts, Gartlett, Gibbs and Scotland were all largely ineffective which shows what a great shut down job was done.

5. Stanton (another great all around game)
4. Watson (consistently great)
3. Crameri (could potentially of had the most damaging forward performance in the league if he kicked straight)
2. Hooker (oddly enough wasn't cringing when he got it today)
1. Hibberd (plays like a 200 gamer, very level headed. great down back)

Loved the fact our small forwards (Davey, Jetta, Dell) looked faster and more dangerous then theirs all day. Betts got 2 cheap ones from frees.

3. Stewart Crameri

This is the sort of effort that should be the benchmark for this list with exceptional hard work and team work =D>

Pats on the back to the other 17 players. Well done.

I thought Zaka was average. I had a very good view of him from the members balcony in the MCC. Jibbed a few contests, and his chasing was ordinary. He's good when he has the ball, needs to work on his defensive game.

THIS. Where has Zaka been this season? Pretty ordinary so far
PS- gotta mention Dyson - he may not be great or a standout, but generally does his job. Was hoping he'd come into the team based on the shutdown job he did on Garlett last time.

I notice that Hocking hasn't received any votes ( myself included) fair chance that he would have gotten a few from the coaches??

Judd did nothing yesterday
