Not a bad guess D2. But it isn't correct. Sticky Fingers was attributed to another foward in the 80's though....

Heard a story that a young player once beat Bluey to the ball in a drill and held it out in front of him, the young player pirouetted and woke up in the rooms some time later.

And according to the old man, the wally is Wally Buttsworth from the 40's
Well, not the other Wally I have in mind. Th eother Wally played early to mid 80's. Not a household name, but he did play at two other clubs. Was in t he news in the last couple of years struggling with life after footy...

Is the other Wally Wayne Beddison or someone like that?

And maybe Bluey was Alan Ezard?

I went to the Dick Reynolds club lunch last week to celebrate the 50 year anniversary of the 1962 flag and the great man was there together with John Birt, Ken Fraser, Charlie Payne, Russell Blew, Barry Capuano, Davis Shaw and others.

It was priceless as most are in their '70's and still referred to their teammates by their nicknames.

The best was for the Gentle Giant, the late Geoff Leek, who was nicknamed "Sprunger!!"
Too far for Baker now he's on to it, now he’s got it, OPEN GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Dons are in front by one point at the 8 minute mark

Hahaha....Sprunger Leek! What was Charlie's? "Constant" Payne?

I played cricket against Charlie in the late 80's - he must have been well into his 40's then. Was a real gentleman. Bowled leggies. I was also in the same year (and class) at school with his son Simon - who could also play footy damn well. Simon played a few Reserves games in the late 80's before joining the police force - and that was that for his footy career.

Ants is Tony Antrobus.

I think Neil Daniher was called Rowdy.

The others I don't know. Maybe Rene Kink was Specimen?

Correct with 2!

Ants - Tony Antrobus
Rowdy - Neale Daniher

Kinky was known as the Incredible Hulk.

The other three are current day players.
