Another week I think for Paddy..maybe 2? We certainly need him that's or sure but it's worrying when we have about 15 players that are playing like fairies and seem to not give a shit! Our defensive pressure is embarrassingly non existent.

Gumby kicking goals?
Gumby is a positive. If you try to deny that you're a fool.

Thats about it.

Yes at the moment he is but it is far to early to be convinced. Let's hope he can string a season together before we mozz the poor guy!

Well, given minimal opportunity and an absolute belting, 4 goals isn't a bad return. Given Hurley as an alternative target he might even maintain some goal kicking form.

Absolutely NO positives from tonight.

Gumby was in the right place at the wrong time. 2nd half goals when you're 10 down mean 5/8's of f*** all!

Thanks for your service David Hille
Whatever we can get for Monfries and Lovett-Murray

Just shut the F*** up Sir James and the Essendon FC.
I don't want to hear anything from you until you become competitive again.

now that's my kind of post!
we have been all "development" for 10 years now.
pushing for the flag "in a couple of years"
boasting about our bigger bodies and improved fitness because of "the weapon".

it is all bullshit. there is something systemically wrong with our club.

Would like to hear from someone who was actually at the game.
Did it look as bad in person as it did on the TV? Please tell me it didn't.

Bullshit

It means a f***load when you are a number 2 pick and you have played 20 games at 22 years of age

If you can't see a positive in that then you should stop watching for the rest of the year

Agreed, when you strip back all the bullshit, we are just about back to where we were under that mental moron Knights. Time to do some major house keeping and grow some balls and poach some decent players. Of course that will never happen, it's not in our DNA but that's what's needed if we are ever going to become nothing more than a below average side that happens to fluke good wins here and there. I can't see Fletch going around again, when he is gone, shit, I don't want to even think about it.

How is it positive that he has played 20 games by the time he turn 22 (although I question these numbers) irrespective of what number pick he went in the draft?

What?
Let me make this simple for you.

You state that it is a positive that as a number 2 draft pick he has played 20 (odd) games by the time he turned 22.

I am simply questioning this statement.

If you believe it is positive because he has battled adversary - well bully for Gumby! And our football club!
I'm glad we've become a sheltered workshop like Fremantle and The Western Bulldogs

Now now, let's play nice boys!!

I think I might give away my box seats for the Carlton game..could not bare being around those bastard supporters when we lose. Watch this space in a couple of weeks, if some one here has more tolerance than me to go, you can have them!!

We won't poach any players, we supposedly develop what we have got. We are the second or third biggest club in the comp yet at trade week are always the quietest. This is something we just have to deal with as Essendon supporters. I would love us to poach a Boak or Caddy, but it's highly unlikely.
