I reckon Carlton will be seriously looking at Goddard and I recall thats where he wanted to play until St Kilda got in before the Scum at the Draft that year

He has played in 3 GF's and St.Kilda seem to be a much more stable club than us at the moment.

after watching the game last night i share the view of many...

to me he's still exactly what we need BUT

The other day someone else suggested Goddard and I was mostly against it because of his age and he doesn't really solve our midfield problems, which we need to get right. But now I'm all for it.

- He slots into HBF, releasing Heppell as our outside mid. A midfield with Watson, Howlett, Stanton, Zaharakis, Heppell, Hocking and even Myers doesn't sound bad to me.

Heppell's already playing midfield. He can replace Dempsey and play well enough that the odd 50 won't seem so costly.
