Game v The Pygmies

Talk about everything Essendon. Past, Present and Future if it's about the Bombers this is the place to be.

Game v The Pygmies

Post by BenDoolan »

They gave us a bit of a fright on our home turf a few weeks back. Surely we'll go into this game with a different mindset - kill the bastards.

Zaka might miss to injury (haven't heard any news), and Merrett should be dropped. Crammer and Hocko due back. Perhaps give JD a crack against this mob. Give Hurley another role.

Maybe bring back Davey and play him for 4 more matches and give him the flick.

ROAD TRIP vingertje vingertje vingertje vingertje

I thought we'd win by 10 goals on Sunday and look what happened. Just give me the points and no injuries. Really don't want to see a GWS that played Geelong up there and pushed them. Hope we can get off to a great start and maintain it for the rest of the game. I need an easy game....been a while. Big games coming up. No more easy ones guaranteed.

Steve Alessio said "if not this week, next week".

Crameri almost made the team last w/e, so probably this week.

hmm, i expect the GWS game to be a bit of a grind

We have got niggles all over the park and plenty of good players missing. Our form has been solid without being spectacular. Grinding wins against Port and the Bulldogs, come from behind wins against Eagles and Blues. Wins are wins so mission accomplished.

Nevertheless, a humiliated GWS after the Sydney game will be fired up to redeem themselves and of course there is the Sheedy factor. This will be his last game coaching against his beloved Bombers and I am sure he has some plans up his sleeves

Depending on weather, I would like to see us go with a tall marking forward line - at least one of Daniher or Gumbleton in. Not sure if Zaharakis will be fit and there are some question marks over Fletcher. If Fletcher is out, Hurley should start back.

We should win. We should win by 10 goals. I predict however a much closer contest with the Dons again getting over the line between 4-5 goals

We have the lowest % of the top 5 teams. A belting would be useful, though ultimately the drawn game may prove significant.

They have been awful recently.

However I'd probably still leave Zachariah out for a week. A plane ride can't be good for a bad back.

I'd love to see Daniher get another game.

Logical inclusions and exclusions apart from Del' (IMO)...

Del ... is OK i guess ... but I'd prefer to get some more games into our first round pick from last year (3 to Kav so far in total) or the second year players in Hams (2 this year) and O'Brien (1 this year) .... and I think they were subs or subbed out...

Or is this a case of facing off Jetta and Dell in real time to see who stays at the club next year as the depth small forward to sub in for Winders or Davey?

Also ... I'm a bit disappointed that NLM's (most likely) farewell game is up in Sydney .... regardless of what some in here think of his talent and/or skills ... he has been a solid servant of the club through some really really dark days...

That was my first thought on seeing the team, too. No Watson, Zaharakis, Hocking, Howlett...that's a good chunk of a best 8-10 midfeld rotation.

Wouldn't mind GWS at the line. We'll win but i won't be surprised if it's an uninspired 5 goal or so win.

Saw Nlm selecting so chucking 10 bucks on gws. If nlm gets 4 quarters gws are a chance.

this is our last `soft` game. after the giants every game looks like a tough assignment.

team looks to be picked to find our best depth players.

we are going to need a good.bunch to pick from here on in.

I am more interested in looking at few of the young gws.kids.on sat.
