Who were the two premiership players in the Essendon team in that 1983 Grand Final? And who was the other one that had played in VFL Grand Finals previously?

Bryan Wood is correct. Paul Weston played in losing Grand Finals in South Australia before winning premierships with Essendon (plus I did mention VFL premierships in a previous post). So one to go....

Good question...right off the top of my head I think we've had 5 or 6, Hawthorn have had a few...and then if you include Fitzroy's history with Brisbane, then they've had stacks. I will have to research later however....
Back in the late 80s, two players returned to Essendon after stints at other clubs, although neither cracked it for a senior game second time around. Who were they?
Clue: both were well regarded as clubmen.

I think Michael Thomson got re-drafted and didn't play a game. The other one might be Daisy Williams (but I can't think of the other club he went to...I thought he had retired)

Yep, Michael Thomson was one. I heard that they got him back from Richmond so he could go on the end of season trip.
Daisy wasn't the other one though.
