R1 NAB Cup - Essendon vs Carlton

OK, we are playing the Blues in round 1 of the NAB cup. Checked the details on the AFL web site:

It's on a Saturday night (24/2 @ 18:10) at Telstra Dome. No details of ticket prices etc.

Are we going to organise a BB group or what?

A win is important, more important than usual I think.
Last year was a confidence annihilating season and to start the year well, even in this NAB comp. is imperative.

Sheedy needs to get off to a good start in the final year of his contract to try and negotiate a new one......

You can tell by the amount of intra-club matches we have played already to see that sheeds wants to hit the ground running early this year

That in itself is a worry. A late season fade would not look good for Sheeds.

I still reckon we'll go close to winning the whole thing.

$13 is quite good value for us.

Remember even Carlton won it 2 years ago.

We still seem to get very nervous and choke whenever we play Carlton. It would be great from a confidence point of view, therefore, to thrash the pants off them (even if it is only pre-season stuff)!
