Most Inproved: DAVID MYERS
Best Clubman: ORAZIO FANTASIA

Hahaha WTF??? Most Improved??? Even Myers laughed. Said “After 11 seasons, I get most improved. What does that say about my previous 10 years?”

Indeed.

I sort of tipped a tie for the Crichton. Could it happen??

Devon Smith a deserved winner =D>

Interesting count! Very close result. Surprised to see AMT so high. Thought he was less influential than last year. But, must have done what the coaches ordered.

Good to see my mate Conor up there. Deservedly so. He’s been a consistent performer.

Adam Saad! Terrific season. Well deserved.

Shocked about Most Improved. Doesn’t make sense that one. Thought Langford was in line for it. Technically, it should go to someone who’s made a big shift in their output eg Langford, Francis, McKernan

Surprised by Matt Dea. But looking back, he was throwing himself around a fair bit. Got knocked senselessat Etihad iirc. Good on him. Prestigious award.

So too Best Clubman. Well done RAZZ =D>

Good call BD....AMT was a great get....I personally didn’t feel he did enough. Am surprised Zaharakis missed out. Myers most improved has to be a piss take right?

I was surprised Tippa finished as high as he did. Tend to agree with your namesake’s comments in that regard, as well as Myers.

I am as perplexed as Myers himself. You’d think if he was such a big improver, he’d have finished in the top 10 of the Crichton...

Agree.

I had Zaka placed in the top 10 - however clearly the coaches dont think that he does enough - also his shoulder injury had him out for a number of weeks.

Irish was also on the sidelines for 4 weeks (bitey) so his result is even more remarkable.
My material isn't very good..Oh...and then there's the bladder problem.

Didn't Zaka miss 6-8 weeks with his shoulder injury? Hard to place top 10 in a B&F missing that many games.

Yes, but he was still in the top 10 after R16. He then played in 6 of the next 7 games. He got injured in R11 and returned in R18. From memory, he played very well on his return.

Just out of interest, what names might be attached to the awards of 2nd,3rd and even 4th place getter’s trophies?

Are any of them in the name of The Essendon Past Players(and Officials?)?
The Gumby - player with the most potential on the injured list more oft than not
The Colyer - player displaying the greatest ineptitude in skills on match day
The BJ - player that commits the biggest turnover cock up of the season
The Stanton - player that lights it up in pre-season
The Reimers - most disruptive player on the list
The Gumby- has to go to Big Joe!
The Colyer- tie between trav and Greeny
The BJ- BJs turnover on Anzac Day rings a bell
The Stanton- Stringer was “untouchable” in the midfield during preseason yet only showed glimpses during the actual season
The Reimers- clearly Mark Neeld
