Whitnall

Talk about everything Essendon. Past, Present and Future if it's about the Bombers this is the place to be.

Whitnall

Post by bueller »

Not that it will matter much but where do you think Whitnall will line up?
Wayne Carey reckons he should play on Scotty Lucas to help give him "a bit of confidence". I can't agree with that.
The only confidence will be coming from Scotty when he walks out to CHF and see's big red with head down ready for a bath...

That's the problem, I am worried, things just look too good. We cannot enter this game thinking it will be easy, it won't be.

....

Still hope that Essendon wins by 99 point like in R21 '05.

Oh, for the heady days of 2000 when over-confidence was rewarded :)

I think the players will have their minds on the job and if so Carlton shouldn't be a problem.

If only it was! We'd win by 200 points.

I'm still worried.

They did beat us round one of the pre season (not that that matters too much) and they are always our hoodoo team (prelim 99 etc) when we think we should win they manage to upset us!!!!

If we were picking a margin I would think Bombers by 5-6 goals.

f*** I hate Carlton even more than Collingwood.

got 3 things worrying me about tomorrow

1-Waite. has really torn us up in recent years. expecting Mcphee or Michael to get him, Fletch on Fev perhaps. Waite and Fev may prove to be difficult

2-midfield. we are doing a lot better than last year, sure. but Gibbs, Murphy, Russell and Stevens are looking good. and if betts gets in there to negate our speed advantage a little, we could have problems there.
Perhaps if Pev can do a good stopper job on Stevens, and Mcveigh follows Betts around to tag and attack, the carlton youngens can battle it out with ours.

3-Ruck. did well against Sandi. got all the hitouts but we were there to stop their effectiveness. That said, Cloke and Ackland did a good job in the first nab cup game against us. heres hoping we were treating that as a glorified practice match.

Ryder on Waite

Our rucks will beat there rucks

They will be more worried about our forward line than theirs.

Michael on Chin
Fletch on Fat so

Hille shouldn't have much of a problem. He will be followed all day by Cloke or Ackland as they won't want to let big Dave loose.
