hawks....toughest game of the season.

Post by tom9779 »

forget yesterday. scum and filth games are always tight, scrappy unpredictable.

personally I think our next game is the toughest of the season....hawthorn are playing very good footy. and they work hard.
(our normally hard work ethic went missing yesterday...so it better bloody well return).

Any idea who we would play on Franklin?

Will sheeds drop anyone from the anzac day team?

Need more speed and some ruck grunt.

In Hille (hopefully), Winderlich (hopefully) and Jetta

Consider - JJ, Houlili

Out: Pick your own three

JJ said on SEN he thinks he needs a few games in the VFL before he feels ready.

9 day break should be good for us so lets hope for a mauling. I went to the game yesterday and I saw and Essendon I haven't seen before. 4 day break is tough but collingwood managed so no excuses.

I reckon Paddy would be alright on Franklin. He has the speed and from what i've seen the strength to play on him.
I would keep Winderlich out for one more just to make sure his hammy has healed 100%. we don't want him pulling another one in a few games time.
I think Welsh would just about be able to play as with NatRat. I would give JJ one more game (this weekend) in the reserves and bring him back for the Hawks.

Paddy will do a good job on Buddy.
Welsh, NatRat, Winderlich will come in for us. Welsh definietly, but maybe not Winder.

Hawks have had it on us for the last couple of games, but we're different side now and this 9 day break will be good. We should take advantage of more than fresh legs against 'common legs' if that makes sense.

We should get up - but it'll be a test, even though Hawks always have a flying start, they're doing alright.

Williams has an injury and will miss weeks....that is got to help us. He has played well against us in recent years. We owe them!

Yep, Williams has a # foot, according to initial news report.
They're now saying knee. Whatever, he's out.

Williams out for 6. Ouch. That hurts their line up.

They will still find a way to hurt us. Although, Fletcher in sensational form and Michael in the backline along with Ryder and the smalls, we don't look so bad back there (providing Bradley doesn't play).

Ryder might get the job on Franklin, with Michael to man the square and Fletcher to own to defensive 50?

We'll thrash the Hawks. 6+ goal victory coming up, and i'm not normally an overly optimistic person. We'll be a re-shuffled side with 3-5 changes, coming off a 10 day break and a stinging loss to our arch rivals, and i think we'll cane the Hawks.

Out: Watson, Bradley, Bolton, M Johnson
In: Hille, Winderlich, Welsh, Lonergan

You people must be very stupid if you think Bradley will get dropped. Sheedy is not going to want to be proven wrong, so he will put Bradley on Franklin, and move him off franklin when he kicks he 6th goal at the 10 minute mark of the 1st quarter.

Ryder will be the obvious choice to put on Franklin, but rest assured, Bradley will be playing next week.

If Mr Rosso is correct about Bradley, "f*** me cried the queen", surely he will be dropped, Sheedy could not be that STUPID, Christ it's supposed to be a footy club we're supporting not a comedy club.

Don't want to start a fight on this forum but can we come up with a better term than raped? That can be pretty offensive to a lot of people.

Apart from that, I think that whoever gets the job on Mitchell will have to wear him like a glove as he is excellent at clearances
