Looks like no Aka For Us....
I must admit I can't blame him...
With an up and coming side like the doggies...he could add some serious match winning depth and may be a catylst for them to go further in future...
for those of you that dont know...Aka has announced his desire to play with the Western Bulldogs...probably putting us at a distant number 2 prospect....
Ah well....LET'S GO FOR GIBBS THEN!

I don't think there will be too much discussion (in the media) by any of the teams at this stage.
There will be a bit of back room manouvering going on and as Jazz said, Aker won't really get too much say.

Well if the great Aka had witnessed yesterday's game, it would be very easy to conclude that the Footscray have a very healthy chance of being a top 4 team over the next couple of years, and more to the point, that one Akadaka would fit in beautifully.

I am not sure where all this is coming from as under the AFL regulations, contracted players are prohibited from announcing an interest in going to another club.
I think we are still very much in the running. As appealing as the Doggies may be, there is nothing quite like playing for the most popular club in the country in front of 90,000 people on ANZAC day.
I would also suggest we are probably as likely to make the finals as the Dogs are in the next couple of seasons.

Exposed form , we're 15th, Doggies at worst, 6th, = I would suggest they are probably more likely to make the finals in the next couple of seasons

Spot on, straight swap. Whoa... Deja Vu.
Didn't we have this discussion last year about Power going to Brisbane? Or was it Luke Power coming down?
Actually thinking about it... it was Luke Power the discussions were about wasn't it...
