3. Lucas - 2 points for kicking a crucial goal (again), .25 for each of his other 4. :)
2. Laycock
1. Hird - without a doubt should be top of the list of Brownlow votes for Essendon, and I reckon he'd have to go close to winning it. Now that'd really be something - go out winning a second Brownlow.

Apologies to Lloydy - kicked 4 (including his 800th), Spike (consistent as always), Davey, Lovett (did their bit, contributed to the score board).

3- Laycock - He won us the game. It was the very minute he was benched that Melbourne came back at us, as we got flogged in the middle immediately. The same pattern continued, right up until the last 10 mins in the third when he was rested, the Dees aain took ascendancy in the middle. Sheeds knew he was the key and a full final quarter from the cock was required for us to win so the 20 min break freshened him up for the last quarter. Spot on descision IMO.
2 - Lucus - Played his typically brilliant game. Had he not missed a few Gimme's might have been in front of Laycock
1 - Lloyd - Best game since his come back, looked to be back taking the strong leading marks he was renouned for, without the constant face first dives which became a blight in the great mans game. Hope he doesnt miss any weeks as this could be the beginning of some momentum for the Lloyd resergence.
