I know the answers to 2 of them off the top of my head without looking them up. Essendon moved back to Windy Hill in 1922.

Essendon players were accused of taking bribes in 1924 in a match against Footscray, the VFA premiers. Essendons vice-captain Tom Fitzmaurice left over that scandal and said the match was a put-up. He was allegedly told "why moan, you could have been in the cut-up too".
Footscray began in the VFL in the following year.

I think the pay dispute was 1977. Not sure of this but Im guessing it was after Graham Moss left the club. However I stand to be corrected on this one.

I'm pretty sure the pay dispute was 1970 as I recall Barry Davis was involved in it. 1964 was too early and he was gone by 1976

Just reread that third question.
The players went on strike during the season.Pulled out.Four can think of Barry Davis,Don McKenzie,Geoff Prior,Daryl Gerlach. Our three best backline players plus our star Ruckmen. They essentially represented the rest.
