I had a look at them all, couldn't decide. But man, am I glad he's in red and black. He's going to be a star (if he's not already). I just hope injury doesn't destroy what is going to be an excitement machine. :)

Yeah, I wasn't specifically referring to the injury at present. I was more looking forward. It seemed his arm went pretty easily (if a break is an easy thing to occur) - I can just see it being a leg, or a knee, or worse. Just hope the new coach(es) have something up their sleeve to help him manage it so that he doesn't get crunched and injured so easily.

Round 6 it is then.

We should all agree on which round to vote for and then jump on board. That way we don't take votes off him.

Talk about self-cannibalisation.

I bet he'll come 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

as others have said, better to pick one week and all vote for that, give him an edge. Round 6 is the one picked on Blitz, so it would make sense to go with that, rather than evening out the votes and giving one of the other teams players a look in.

Here's a question, would he have polled better in the NAB Rising Star than Ryder had he been eligible?

I don't see the mathematical logic in picking one week. From what I've seen you can vote multiple times. So if you decide to vote for just one week and vote 5 times....why not just vote 5 times for all three great Alwyn moments?

ok... say you have a West Coast fan, a Collingwood fan, a Carlton fan, and an Essendon fan. If each of them have time to vote three times each for their players, you'd have the following result:

Daniel Kerr: 3 votes
Alwyn Davey Round 4 - 1 vote
Alwyn Davey Round 6 - 1 vote
Alwyn Davey Round 8 - 1 vote
Brendan Fevola - 3 votes
Tyson Goldsack - 3 votes

So for Alwyn to have the same number of votes for each of his nominations, it would take the Essendon fan three times longer - they'd have to vote 9 times - and it would only get Alwyn even with the other players.

So if the Essendon fan has that much time, and instead voted 9 times for ONE Alwyn Davey nomination... that one nomination would end up with 9 votes - putting Alwyn 6 votes ahead of the other players

so it makes sense to concentrate on voting for one week, getting as many votes possible for that one week - rather than running the risk of spreading the votes between three weeks and possibly not drawing clear overall!
