Neagle

Post by Bomber_Fan »

Only positive to really come out of another shithouse performance. Despite his lack of fitness, he worked his arse off - all contested possessions as far as I could tell, no soft shit. If only he can get himself right! Wish people who have had a full preseason could take note of his endeavour and actually f***'n chase and shepherd.

He was good. Showed more in 2 games so far than Johns has in 20.

Was fantastic Neagle. Coming off a crap game with Bendigo, he showed plenty of grunt. Should have kicked 4 goals - which would have been just reward for his efforts. Lets hope he stays fit, because he'll be a damn good target up forward for a few years to come.

Really pleased with what he showed today, run a bit of puppy fat off of him and we could be looking at a handy little player.

Really surprised me today, as he did nothing for Bendigo last week.
With a bit more luck, could have easily kicked 4.
Definitely a better prospect than CJ.
Dare I say it, maybe better than Gumby too?

Was very pleased with how he went today. Put his head over the ball and never shirked a contest like some others.

I think they'd be hoping for Neagle to take the FF spot, and Gumby the CHF spot (if he EVER becomes injury free). Neagle is very quick off the mark, and with a few more games under the belt the fitness will build and that will increase.

I didn't see the game, but that'd be right.

I wonder what the excuse will be this week? The bedouins of north-east Libya had their underwear on back-to-front whilst doing the counterclockwise semi-annual rain dance? The 14th star in the furthermost complex of the Milky Way was 1.4 metres out of alignment with Earth?

Yeah, I thought he tried his arse off.

A bit more fitness and he will be a gun.

How hard did kick the ball that hit the post.

It shook for 3 mins, and wavered about 2 mts.

Very impressed. Had 11 contested disposal, a match high for both teams. Considering this is one our weak points he did very well for a second gamer.

Should have kicked 4, and I would have backed him to kick the one, that went out on the full, as he usual is a very good shot for goal.

Play him in there the rest of the season. He worked well with Lloyd, not like Johns, who gets in Lloyds way and vice versa.

I was really impressed.

Very good that he's in form too, what with McPhee missing next game.

without putting the moz on him, I reckon Jay Neagle will be the comps next big thing.

I seem him developing to end up having the sort of impact on games Brown, Franklin, Hall etc have on games.

(i also see gumbleton ending up being a great CHB).

Bit early to make those kinds of calls...is impressive and has talent, but the same things were being said of Johns, Bradley, Bolts and co...

Never seen him play well at Bendigo in the games I have watched. However, the three games I have seen him play for Essendon (including the PS game) were most impressive.

Really liked what O saw. Hope he has a bit of his old man's mongrel in him. Did not take a backward step. Also young daniher shows promise and a yard of pace as well. Only two positives from game.
Too far for Baker now he's on to it, now he’s got it, OPEN GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Dons are in front by one point at the 8 minute mark
