That goal O'Loughin just got with 30 secs left in the half was disgraceful defence, particularly from Myers who just stood and watched after making the spoil. Granted, Stanton should have collected the ball cleanly and handballed to a player running past but Myers just stood and watched while O'Loughlin stepped up next to him and took an easy mark.

A good quarter of footy, but still far too many mistakes that shouldn't be made.

Winderlich is clearly well under 100%. He's struggling. Run down by Jolly, which thankfully only cost a point, but still.

Monfries effectiveness obviously needs to improve but at least he is getting the ball. If he keeps getting it at thsi rate he'll end up with 25+ possies and that would be good for his confidence. And hopefully his disposal will improve the more he gets it.

Well credit to the team, its a shame we didn't go on with it all quarter but we are in with a shot so that's good.

We all know Gus Monfires can play. Yes he has had a few mistakes but he's having a go, he's getting the ball, he's takling and he's making a contest.

Great second term.

Love Reimers, Hislop and Lonergan.

Yes...it would be very good for our confidence going forward if we can match it with the Swans for the rest of the game.

I just hope we didn't fire all our shots that quarter...they were saying on the radio that a lot of our players looked pretty tired.

Can they run out the game?

For those watching on TV, how bad are the ******* maggots again? Sydneys first 2 goals were a joke, and Jetta, should have had a holding the man in the goalsquare. They are a ******* disgrace. Number 26, whoever the f*** that turd burgular is, is just ******* incompetent.

By the way, we arent going that well. It's just that Sydney are a ******* joke. My 8 yeard olds have better disposal than Monfires, and Lazycock is just a big lumbering sook. Thank Christ for Mcveigh. Hislop, Reimers, Lonergan, Stanton, and Welsh going ok. Why the f*** was Winderlich selected ahead of Nash if he wasnt fit?

Monfries is getting ball but unfortunately has a case of the Reverse Midas Touch at the moment.

Jetta should have received a free kick inside our F50. That was a bloody throw in the pocket. Another good tackle in the middle after that. He's covering some good ground. Another free earlier in the game was the result of Sydney players puhing into a stack of players on the ground and they got a free for in the back. Goal.

Some dodgy decisions but I have seen worse.

The Swans don't exactly look fresh either. They're using a lot of energy with close checking and if you watch, a lot of them are flat footed. Obviously the break will do both sides a lot of good, so it'll be interesting to see how they come out after the long break.

As The Fly said, the umpiring has been fair to middling but it's certainly not the worst I've seen. Anyone got the free kick stats??

Time will tell if there's a scoring end, or that's just the way the game has panned out in the first half...

That is ridiculous. Jetta is the only player who goes to pick up the ball off the deck and is tackled immediately and pinged for holding the ball. Where is the benefit in picking up and playing the ball? What a joke.

Yeah I'm not sure how he was supposed to dispose of the pill between the time that he picked it up and when he was tackled. Sheesh.

This is extremely frustrating to watch. We should have cleared that footy easily just now. Stanton's kick bounces off Neagle's chest and then Sydney go inside 50... Fletcher went without it and then suddenly O'Keefe is kicking a goal from the pocket. Extremely frustrating.

Monfries delivers well to Welsh about 15m out. Nice to see. Goal. Needed that

The inconsistencies with the time allowed for holding the ball is incredible. We pick up the ball and tackled immediately it's holding the ball. Sydney pick up the ball, tackled, 5 seconds later still being tackled and somehow manage to get a hand on it after being taken to ground and it's play on.

Harsh on Laycock, but he should have been tigher on Jolly just then. I know he was protecting the space in front and toward the corridor, but he left it open for Jolly to take an easy mark in the space just behind him.
