We'll Beat Hawthorn

Post by boncer34 »

I'm supremely confident. Paddy to Franklin. Fletch to Roughie.
Croad to Lucas?

Gonna go have a flutter. Anyone know our odds?

At the moment, even if we played the way we did against Adelaide, we will be lucky to get within 30 points. For mine, I reckon we should be between $3.50 & $5.00 anything above that would def be good odds...

We're $6.50 on the nose, so we'll probably get about a 6 goal start at the line.

One thing that is in our favour is that it's at the Dome. Hawthorn aren't as good at the Dome as they are at the 'G because they like to use the wings quite a bit, and we're less likely to be as badly run off our feet as we have the last couple times we've played them.

If we do beat Hawthorn - surely then it makes our performances against Collingwood, Port, Sydney, and Richmond completely inexcusable?

but we won't beat Hawthorn. so i guess its a moot point.

How many times have you bet on the bombers this year?

We will get smashed by the Hawks. Unlike Adelaide, who are one of the most defensive minded teams in the comp, Hawthorn kick huge scores.

We won't win.

Buddy will smash whoever we put on him. Ryder is out of form, Fletcher hasn't played a genuine stopping role in years and Mal is too slow/unfit.

Hawthorns midfield will run riot.

I just cannot see us getting within 6 goals.

We should be between 5-9 dollars for the win for good reason...

I think you have had too many mid week beers. Liquid confidence can affect descsion making that much!!

We will get smashed!! It's all about by how much. If we play well 5-6 goals, if not it could be as huge as 12-15 goals.

There is no rational reason to be confident going into this game, the beat us all over the park, stronger defence, faster and better quality in the midfield, and more options forward with everyone in form.

Hawks on the rebound.
Another line in the sand v arguably their most hated opponents.
Franklin copping it in the press. Best way to shut the press up is to overwhelm it with a stellar performance.

10 goals. :?

Hodge out. 9 goals.

The only fun we'll have this week is yelling "POSTER" if Croad has a shot on goal...and that's gonna register with everyone i'n't!

Love to see your confidence Bonce. I hope you're right. I'm sure the EFC has had the Doggies v Hawks game on continuous loop the past couple of days. Imagine the shit storm if we do win... (Dream, dream, dream...)

I'll keep my wallet well and truly in my pants though...

well I am just jaded.

i've only punted on us and lost this year.

i still think it would be a miracle against the hawks. they are definetly a better team.

Well I thought we gave a very good collective effort against The Crows. If the midfield effort is repeated and should Lucas and Lloyd be able to fire simultaneously I think we are dark horse.

I watched Hawthorn last week and thought they looked a bit tired. They have been up for a while and I dare say playing above their real ability.

Things to get ready for ;

1) They get THE WORLD in any game they play
2) They are allowed be tackled and caught with the ball and frees WILL NOT BE PAID
3) You cant touch Mitchell

Menzie!! ❤️

Things go awry without Jye!!

Lets just do some ******* damage and break some heads. I dont care who gets suspended this week, as long as it's not for some faggy love tap. Lets wipe a few of these ******* pretenders out.

Draw a line in the sand.

AndI think we can beat Hawthorn, but only if we can convince them that the game is on Sunday.

I am as passionate and hopeful as they come...but I dont think we will come close. We played well last week, but really we were 6 - 8 goal worse than Adelaide. Bad kicking on their part, but we only went inside 50 38 times to 60 odd, and still our accountability is an issue.
Hawthorn have given us a bath in recent years, and we arent any better.
Im hoping, but highly unlikely.

******* weak pricks... How many 2 and 3 on 1 attacks are there like Captain Courageous kicking McPhee while he is being pinned by two players!!!

Now that the tables are turned and we are shit while they are good we should be made to watch this a hundred times during the week and give it back to them 10 fold. I would like to see Kyle Reimers make something of those ridiculous rumours and king hit Buddy before the first bounce... Would not give a f*** if we lost by a hundred and fifty after that!!!
