Huge game vs the Cattery

Talk about everything Essendon. Past, Present and Future if it's about the Bombers this is the place to be.

That thing about laughing can go for you for Melksham too.

Players that deserve their salary this week:

Z Merrett
T Colyer
O Fantasia
C Hooker
M Hurley
D Heppell
J Daniher (at least he presented)

I dont want anyone to tell me how many possessions Goddard got because half them when directly into Geelong's hands. Most of the team played like absolute crap.

Melksham didn't laugh and carry on after the final siren though, his was a bit of banter during the game. Jake might not be the perfect player but at least he flew the flag tonight where he had a lot of mates who didn't.

When I look at the body language of the team the only players that seems to play with a constant full level of intensity are Travis Colyer and Zack Merrett.

As for Melksham, I dont want to see any Essendon player with a smile on their face when we are down by a deficit of 75 points. He gave away 50 metre penalties and silly free kicks. How is that helping the team. He was being a fukc-ing wanker.

I cannot see us winning another game this season. Something will have to give.

I like Melksham and I believe he is improving on last year.

More than you can say for a lot of others.

We might get over the GC, but agree. We have wins against Bris, Carl, and StK among our 4, so we are probably bottom 6 at best.

What an insipid performance. It seemed like they didn't care at all.

Melksham was pathetic. Squibbed it several times.

Q1 was in fact a reasonably tight contest. We had 2-3 shots on goal before they scored. Kav looked like he belonged in that quarter. Unfortunately, if you miss goals you lose. You lose confidence for no reward for hard work and you then lose the game.

When Qwilt's shot on goal bounced just before the line and then away from the goal, it was just typical of the night.

Confidence shot to pieces I expect. If Hooker, Hurley and Baguley weren't playing it would've been 20 goals.

When its left to a "pure" defender to make good a shot on goal to restore confidence ... you know you're in trouble

Well he sups at the feet of the masters.

I watched the first quarter at my curry night - a couple of decent dishes and the wine was brilliant (my F******* Cellar supplied the fermented grape juice).

Anywho - I was pleased to see brave Sir Robin not commit on a couple of occasions and the hand-balling to the feet of team mates or to team mates not moving anywhere in particular is still high on the hit parade. But the biggest joy was seeing that from within 50 metres we couldn't hit the side of a barn.

Not since Fitzroy smashed us by 100 points at Windy Hill in 1979 have I been so happy to be vindicated by out ineptitude. Something has got to give!
Back then Barry Davis - who was part time and part interested - stated he would not coach beyond 1979 if we didn't make the finals.
The following year we luckily found Sheedy.
My material isn't very good..Oh...and then there's the bladder problem.
