for the record the final scores were:
Essendon 3.4 8.8 10.12 12.19 91
Fremantle 3.8 6.12 7.16 11.16 82
It was the 7th of April 1995 at the WACA as Ross rightly said and the crowd was 24398

ok, this is an easy one.
Name the player who in the 1984 finals series, stitched up three dangermen in the three finals (Hawthorn, Collingwood and then Hawthorn again) He was a catalyst for our success in the GF by shutting out Hawthorns dangerous playmaker and hard man.
The first player was Russel Greene in the 2nd semi (which we lost by 8 points)

I know it, but I'll let someone else have a crack. Loved the bloke, one of my favs, an unsung hero. Did a great job in the 84 GF, considering that "Hawthorn player" absolutely killed us in the 2nd Semi when he was allowed to run free.

Bingo.
Gave up his spot in the '85 GF due to his hammy. Was probably right to play, but was worried if it went in the first 5 minutes.

In the 1970 Grand Final Carlton coach Ron Barassi drummed one instruction to his players at half-time, and threw on one interchange player in a match winning move.
What was the instruction and who was the player?

The three clubs were all victorian and I played pre WWII. I played for Essendon, but it wasnt my first club.
Ill give another hint at around tea in the cricket if needed.
