The worst thing is they don't even run a short story saying "oops...looks like nothing today"
In fact they did the opposite and updated a few words in the story on their website so it refreshed and stayed in their new stories bar on the right hand side of the screen all day.

He will slot into a forward pocket role to boost the inexperienced line up.

Probably January it will be named. The media are just guessing at the moment, they probably thought Essendon would name it now to hope it gets covered by the Cup.

We seem to get more than the average amount of spiteful BS flung our way by journo's... Everything the club does is a "disgrace" it seems. There's such a bias against the red and black at the moment...
Greg Denham harked up again yesterday saying what a "disgrace" it would be if Bomber left for Essendon. Blimey. Can anyone here remember him saying anything half positive about our club? I can't... And if I was as bad at my job as this bloke is at his, I'd have been given the lemonade n' sars years ago....
The footy media are a bunch of out of control boofheads...

JimBob Hird said this morning that nothing has been done. He has spoken to Bomber, but still hasn't got a strong indication either way.
I'm just happy to sit back and wait. If he comes, he comes. Not phased. But not saying that I don't want him to.

Bombers to announce Thompson deal this Thursday
Essendon is poised to announce the coup signing of their favourite son this Thursday despite James Hird coming out denying any agreement has been settled.
Even though there has been speculation regarding this announcement in the past few weeks, it is believed the real announcement is forthcoming.
There have been several tarot readings and seances with the spirit world that have indicated a particular date for this announcement - Thursday November 11 at 11.01am, following the minute's silence.
Mark Thompson could not be contacted for comment, however, a spirit by the name of "phantom X" indicated through a ouija board that Bomber is delighted with his new contract.

Very deftly handle by Paul Hamilton who showed more dazzling footwork than he ever did as player.
With a media pack all on their high horses trying to lay traps at every turn he put them all flat on their collective faces.
And what's more Bomber and Hirdy had "prior" commitments.
Talk about putting noses out of joint.Just wait for all the indignant articles to appear.
Pity about that.

Hammer was fantastic - not a flinch or a scowl to hide the fact that the whole story of Bomber turning up at training in the morning to say he was in was a whole load of cockamamie! Nice work son.
