Correct. Spoilt with the start of the season, now bleating when we're getting more realistic results.

It's not the results though. It's the fact that the results are being provided without any fight, and by the same non descript mediocre footballers that have marked our glorious decade of achievement.

That's funny, most in this thread picked us to make the 8.

Correct, but the peanut gallery don't get it.

If we got rolled by Geelong by 15 goals next week, but the "ins" were Browne, Reimers, Gumbleton, Colyer, T Slattery and Carlisle, and the "outs" were Welsh, McVeigh, Davey, Lonergan, Watson and Myers, i wouldn't give a shit. I'd actually probably be happier with that result than playing the same old washed-up shite and losing by 5 goals.

Yep - 12-8 seems to be about the average - which is where we are and likely to finish - so I guess we really have no need to complain?

At least I said we'd draw a game!!!!!

Where we finish will be below most B.T.ers expectations. And it's how we will finish that should be disturbing.

No one expected the barn-storming start - but given that, how the holy f*** have we allowed the season to become what it is becoming? Does anyone realistically think we will win more than one more game - if that?

What does that make us? The laughing stock of the comp!
My material isn't very good..Oh...and then there's the bladder problem.

I have an overwhelming need to complain about the performance of this club. Competitive or better for only a third of the season and then go to pieces against clubs that probably will finish in the same bracket as us (excluding hawks)?

I don't "expect" to finish anywhere in particular on the ladder - I expect to be in the contest for much if not all of any particular game. But to be 12 goals to 2 down against an injury riddled Freo, or concede a 6 goals to none quarter against an injury riddled Melbourne, or to be 10 goals down at half-time to a reserves grade Hawthorn - well f*** me - if that's not something worth complaining about I don't know what is.

Didnt say I was happy - I was happy when we were sitting in the Top 4, 5 weeks ago. But in all honesty, the over reaction to the current form slump does not correlate to our pre-season expectations. It was the unexpected form of the first 8 weeks that has knocked rationality out of recent discussions.

Reality is that we are still miles off being a really top flight side. The Fools Gold of the early successes sucked me in and I guess a few others as well

Me too. I'd love to see it happen.

And BTW I refrain from making pre-season predictions.
