What's the positive this week Jim?

Talk about everything Essendon. Past, Present and Future if it's about the Bombers this is the place to be.

Hird and Mercuri debuted after that game if I believe.

The way things were going in the first half I thought were heading for a 20 goal loss so to break even - ish in the second was a reasonable effort given no Watson, and Lonergan. In a way losing those guys meant we had a quicker 18 on the field in the second half.

Beg to differ. That game was R20, 1992. Both Hird and Mercuri debuted early in that season....

Oh I know that. Not even suggesting it.

I'm seeing more floggings in my tea leaves....

Three positives for mind:
a) We have helped Clarkson's case for his contract to be renewed; hopefully it will be to the Dawk's grief.
b) We surely will be out of the eight by tonight; don't want any chance of us scraping into the eight and getting humiliated like we did against Adelaide.
c) We're one game closer to a premiership.

My positive ... In the box, Hird looked like he actually gave a crap ... unlike our last two coaches ...

Jim is suddenly realising that he has to be the bad guy for a couple of his former team mates

I've seen one of those against this mob ya know. 160 points in fact.
Yeah comedy capers.

But---wasn't that the game that led to finally scraping the bottom of the barrel for some new players?

Like Mercuri,Misiti,Olarenshaw,Calthorpe,Hills,Fletcher and Hird.
That game was David Calthorpe's debut. Welcome to the big league!

Hird, Misiti, Mercuri had debuted before that game (and didn't play in this one).

The incredible thing about that abomination of a match (and I remaind their until the final siren), is that 28 matches later our boys were holding the premiership cup aloft. Amazing.
Will be close to 128 this time...
