Correct weight... We couldn't get an average mid let alone a gun mid when it was a level playing field

The relevance here is that it goes onto talk about trading for O'Meara and that teams with several high draft picks (which Melbourne will get for Scully leaving) would be in the box seat.

I disagree though. GWS have plenty of early draft picks already. Wouldn't they be more likely to try to trade for a player?

Our midfield is where we got smashed ppl and generally speaking, if you look at our season, when we have been flogged, we have been totally uncompetitive around the pill...

Then with the ball coming in so often and so quickly, the backs are caught out and made to look a lot worse than what they are...that said, there are a couple in our back line that could use replacing which wouldn't hurt...

Personally, I hope our first pick a) the best available player at the time and b) a potential gun midfielder in the mould of a Daniel (Hanneberry or Rich)
