Bullshit - a couple of clubs found him very handy.
My material isn't very good..Oh...and then there's the bladder problem.

i think you'll find Pears is definitely on his way out subject to any trade and Hooker will go for the right offer.

Come on, he deserved to get that contract at the time. How was the club to know he would do his knee.

I still expect him to be big part of our future.

I have to question this idea that one of Hooker or Pears will go. Fletcher will retire one day and in the meanwhile you guys are saying we are going to trade off one the blokes that have been apprentices to him.

I think tall defenders are important we might not play them in games but if say we get injuries we need backup tall defenders that can mix it in the seniors. So we will have Fletcher, Carlisle, Hooker, Pears and Hibberd. Is Fletcher going to play every game ?

Sam Lonergan needs to be kept.

Every year we have the same discussions and there is nothing wrong with that, but apart from a few rookie delistings and the inevitable retirements, fuckall ever seems to happen. The rumourmill overflows with suggestions of some gun midfielder that we are going after, but nothing eventuates.

Names are thrown up of existing players that we should move on or trade but they reappear the following year "all the better for another year under their belt."

For those with better memories than me (like everyone!!) when was the last straight out trade we made and was it successful??
Too far for Baker now he's on to it, now he’s got it, OPEN GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Dons are in front by one point at the 8 minute mark

The last decent trade I remember was when we offloaded Salmon and pick up Wellman & Barnard..

Trade week becomes trade month this season. Thank god I'm away for 2 weeks of it. Nothing happens till the last couple of hours anyway.

In my opinion, the best thing that has happened this year is Gumby's comeback. Not spectacular but given the amount of time away from the game, good enough to probably tempt opposition clubs into thinking he could be worth a punt. Nothing like a strong marking tall forward who was drafted at number 2 to mess with you mind. Trust me, us Essendon fans have been seduced by the fantasy for long enough.

I would be knocking on the door at any club with a half decent midfielder up for grabs and throw the Gumby/Reimers/Monfries package deal. That's a four goal a game package. Surely the likes of GWS or GC would bite at that offer?
