If Hird is worried about that then he should go now. Otherwise too bad for the players that are not good enough. Also the players would look like incredible sooks if they turned on him after being dropped after standing behind him over the last couple of years.

That to me suggests he is under no illusions and knows what is happening but the pricks on the park aren't listening.

Ever thought for a moment that our players might be in survival mode. That they are playing purely on instinct without thinking. That the saga is finally wearing them down and taking its toll. All you have to do is to have a good look at them under pressure, their 100% now doesn't meet our expectation of what we think their 100% should be. They are still playing but they are under performing on a skill level. Their attention to
detail is affected and overall result is effected.

Seriously, short of putting every player under hypnosis and using positive anchors to over ride negative stressors, it eventually becomes impossible to fight against whatever is being suppressed/repressed internally; externally. There are far too many secrets around this saga still hidden and the players remain gagged. The energy in the body is quickly used up when under too much the mental/emotional stress, withhold and worry from it. What's too much? That depends on the person and how they handle stress and pain under duress. Forced restraint, think about that!
Its a subject no one has mentioned much. Sounds like bullsh1t but its not.

I think the players have done very well to last this long but there's not much left in the tank at the end of the day. Have a look at how Hird has aged before the saga and now. Check out some footage of him. And; frankly with all that has been dished up and thrown at the Hird family, from different sources and angles, they are mentally and emotionally strong. James and Tania obviously do a lot to support their body, mind and spirit and therefore, are able to deal with stress better than most in the same position would. James Hird also, has a high pain tolerance or threshold and I'm not sure all our players could match him at that level.
Nothing usually happens until something happens.
