Here's the thing.
If we lose to Carlton then it is clear that the rebuilding process is still underway. A young team will win a few and just as easily lose a few. Often, the standard of the opponent is not the reason. Its a development process, a learning curve.
I wouldnt be too phased about Carlton or any other team.
We should be keeping the targets for this year at a realistic level.
1) 10 Wins would be a great improvement
2) Establish a fresh game plan
3) Induct 3-4 new players into the top 22
4) Give 3 or 4 draftees a taste of the action.
Obviously a win over the Scum would be a great thing for all concerned but lets not jump at shadows here. This paranoia about Carlton is stupid. Lets focus on the continuing development of the team and should they not win this coming weekend, remain positive and not bag the team.
