The team
Is this a clear sign that they want to retain Keps for next year by giving him a run in the lesser of our two final games. By "they" I mean the club rather than Sheedy who will no longer have a say in the matter in a couple of weeks.
I really want to see him put in a good game given the baking he has received, especially this year. The trouble is, I have agreed with most of it.
Whatever the outcome, he must not play on the backline. I believe that his confidence is at a state at the moment whereby he panics into making mistakes resulting in turnovers and invariably goals.
The guy can mark and his goal shooting is pretty good. Give them another tall to worry about on the foreward line or free up Scotty to go back if Fletch pulls out.

Too far for Baker now he's on to it, now he’s got it, OPEN GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Dons are in front by one point at the 8 minute mark

I feel that Bradley will only play if Fletcher pulls out, like for the Adelaide game. Sheedy's insurance policy. However someone clearly forgot to tell him that insurance is supposed to cover/replace a loss, not reinforce it. I'd rather have Lee in.
Anyway, I hope Dempsey plays, coming in for probably M Johnson. No other changes. With Lovett playing in the middle last week and Davey obviously not in, maybe Dempsey should play up forward to put pressure on the Tigers.
If Fletcher doesn't play however, I'd bring in Hille, so that Ryder can spend the whole game down back.

If I have to watch Bradley play in the only game I'm going to get to this year, I'm going to spew.KaaN10 wrote:Bradley must play in the forward line. Good to see Dempsey back!
Yes, I did say that exact thing in another thread. We should not have to be subjected to that rubbish.

I'd say that Hille will come back in to replace Hocking.
The only other change will be Bradley for Fletcher if he pulls out.
Campo, Nash, M.Johnson should play if they are fit surely.
Therefore young Dempsey will prob miss

Yep thats exactly what i think. The fact that Bradley has been named this week proves that Fletch is no chance of playing on sunday. I just hope that they don't put Bradley in defence, surely the coaching panel would know by now (and the fact that Bradley is Bendigos leading goal kicker this year) that he is NOT a backman!!!!bueller wrote:I'd say that Hille will come back in to replace Hocking.

Seeing that there are two Mark Johnson's named, Dempsey would take one of those places....Sismis wrote:Where does Dempsey fit exactly?F111 wrote:ESSENDON

I think Dempsey in is a good move, although Hocking is a bit stiff to get one game then be demoted.
The Tigers have poor skills and few marking targets, but they do have some smaller players (Foley, Tambling, Deledio) who, on their day, can run a bit and make life difficult if Richo or Brown fire up. Dempsey's hardly played all year so probably won't contribute a hell of a lot, but if he gets it 10 times and can apply some pressure around the ground, then that'll be helpful.
