above 30000, which is great, I have also just bought baby bomber memberships for all my neice's and nephews (4 of them), so make that 30004. :D

lets hope we hit the 40k mark

35304 at the moment.

Couple of early wins will have that alot closer to 40,000.

Wow, i didnt relize how big it was. 40 000 would be the target from here.

I think they don't count the interstaters, unless they buy an 11/18 game membership.

Non-matchday memberships. Apparently this year however, Essendon will not be sending the breakdown to the AFL.

Good. It's stupid that the AFL don't count members that don't have ticketed memberships. They are still members of the club, and therefore should be counted.

Not sure what their reasoning is either.
It cant solely be because it cant get you into matches because alot of people purchase multiple memberships and they all count, even though they are non-transferrable. And people also buy them for their dog, even though animals are not allowed in grounds (apart from guide dogs).

Is the reason why they don't count those memberships is because they are cheaper?

No, some are still $100, its because it doesnt get you entry into the match.

Recruiting roughly a thousand a week.

Hopefully some early wins pushes in further to the 40,000 mark.

Current figure: 36053

So if any of you out there havent got a membership (and can afford it), then sign up!
