You forgot to mention that it is law that the Soccer WC be shown live on FTA. In 2002, 9 bought the rights because of the time zone as it was hosted in Korea and Japan. Therefore, alot of the matches were played during prime time. However, they only wanted to show some of the matches and due to the Federal Law, SBS were given the other matches.
I agree with Foxtels policy "use it or lose it". If the FTA dont want to show the game because of ratings, why should Foxtel not be allowed to show it?
