I'm sick of seeing the opposition kick away to a 2, 3 or 4 goal head start even before we put it in first gear. It is pissing me off no end. Perhaps our boys need to shift everything ten minutes earlier, just so they're bloody ready when the first bounce is delivered.
I hope Benny's happy....
All essendon supporters are happy with the effort so far.

3aw is saying the "bigger and more experienced hawks" should be outplaying the bombers.... a catch phrase ... speed kills!!!

Our backline inexperienced ... but putting pressure on - leading to poor accuracy from the Hawks.

Whoo Hooo!!

4 goals to one!

Seems our youngsters are lacking confidence and not backing themselves .... more self belief needed!!! Doing well but - in getting the ball! (does that make sense?)

cheers

He needed to produce one as well! Still early days but good to see that he started well. They just had a segment on the channel 7 broadcast of Timmy Watson talking to Gussy about the 1984/85 wins.

Bombers need to hold on till 1/2 time. They have been outstanding to have stayed with the Hawks for this long.

5 goals to 2 in the quarter hurts though.

Great effort so far!!! Exactly what we as fans would have wanted from our boys!

Higher possession winners so far:
Houli- 12
Monfries- 12
Licha- 13
Stants- 16
Hooker - 11

Im looking forward to watching the half now!!!

I think Gus has been one of our better players this year - starting to string some consistency into his games - he plays well, we usually win

Listening to it on the radio...Both David Parkin and Peter Schwab were dumbfounded by the decision...The "Franklin Effect" strikes again.

It sounds like Monfries, Stanton, Hocking and Ryder are all playing well...couple of goals to natrat have been very handy.

Hooker and Pears also appear to doing well against Franklin and Roughhead

Can't wait to see the game and Paddy's big mark that they raved about on the radio.

Can we keep this up after half time...that's the big question.
