I could have given votes to the whole team tonight... i didint feel their were any passengers and everyone contributed to the win but...

3- Monfries- pulled out a ripper when he needed to, absolutely thumped Hodge!!!
2- Stants- 36 possies
1- my man Natrat- yet again this week his bigger body was crucial in the contests and he kicked 3 important goals.

apologies to Licha, Lloyd, Pears, Hooker and Dempsey as well.

Last week it was hard to think of anyone to put in the votes.
This week it's hard to know who to leave out!!

5. Lloyd
4. Monfries
3. Stanton
2. Winderlich
1. Pears

Whole backline was good - Slattery, Hooker, Dempsey, McPhee etc to keep them to such a low score
Engine room was great too - Ryder, Watson, Lovett, NLM, Lonergan, Hocking all contributed

5. Stanton- Added a touch of class to his hard running game, with a few nice turns and some very precise classes.
4. Winderlich- Fantastic around the clearances. Had been magnificent this year, after a limited preseason.
3. Monfries- Played like a small CHF, hope he can string a few good games together.
2. Watson- Didn't get his usual numbers, but had many golden handballs releasing other players. Really liked his game.
1. Lonergan- Love this guy. Hard at it, and very strong through the core. Favorite play when he faked a handball and went straight between those two Hawk players.

Ryder and Lloyd unlucky not to be there, but many have given them votes anyway :P Could put many others in there. Pears, Hooker, Hocking, Zaha (especially if he kicked straighter at goal), Lovett... they all did well.

3. Winderlich,
2 Stanton,
1. Monfries.

As discussed no passengers, which is why we won. but I thought those three really pulled one from out of the box. lloydy would prob get a brownlow vote with 5 goals i'd say as well.
Lovett was excellent again, its between him and licha for mine as best essendon player this year.

Honerable mentions to Stanton, Watson and Houli.

I'd never have thought in a million years I'd be writing those blokes' names in the votes 6 months ago, other than Lloyd. It's a very exciting period at the moment at Essendon. The players provide plenty of scope for supporters to get excited about their performance but are also inconsistent enough that you can also get stuck into them with some real vitriol. In summary, it doesn't get any better than this for the gringe.
Like sand through the hour glass, so are the days at the Essendon Football Club.
