Talk about everything Essendon. Past, Present and Future if it's about the Bombers this is the place to be.

Very very hard to choose. So many played well. Even our "worst" player was good. Hard to know who to leave out next week if McVeigh & McPhee are to come back! What a great dilemma to have.

5. Welsh (shut down Judd and did so much himself too - boy we missed him)
4. Lovett (a bit quiet early but really fired us up in the second half)
3. Pears (thought Fev was going to tear us up early but then in the end Tayte was running off him like he was an old hack - brought tears of joy to my eyes!)
2. Davey (those come from behind tackles are a delight to watch)
1. Monfries (good to see our forwards kicking multiple goals - Lloyd & Lucas aka the old firm also did well).

Lonergan, Stanton, Prismall, Hocking all stepped up after Watson went off. Ryder rucked tirelessly. Fletch was just Fletch. I could go on and on!! :D

5- Pears- Round 13 rising star for sure after that performance on the Fev.
4- Lovett- Was outstanding particlarly in the second half. Not only kiced the brilliant goals but tackled and chased hard as well. Put that little shit Joseph back in his box!!
3- Stanton- really lifted when Watson went off. Liked all his efforts tonight.
2- Welsh- beat Juddy last night and getting 30 possies in only ur second game back is sensational.
1- Monfries- 5 goals was a great return.

apologies to everone else in the team!!
i have the same top 5. lovett was v good for 4 quarters. Stanton was excellent in the second half of the game, match winning effort.
game was still in the balance, then he lifted the side I thought.

Even though he kicked five, Gus has turned into one of the leagues biggest divers. Not on in my books. Nice kicking though...

Apologies to Jobe (who was BOG before the injury), Lovett (tagged heavily & fired up in the last, but I give him votes every week), Davey (13 poss with 11 contested. & 4 clearances), Hocking/Lonergan/Hooker for their hardness at the ball. & finally, apologies to all the players that didn't get a mention. We beat the scum because we worked for each other & kept to the gameplan. & because we're better!

5. Andrew Welsh (The work this guy must have done to return in this condition is mind boggling)
4. Tayte Pears (So impressed with this guy. Backed himself all night and worked superbly with the old bloke,)
3. Paddy Ryder (What more can you say. has had a massive say in our rejuvenation)
2 Angus Monfries (have been critical, but is now starting to string performances together. 5 from 5 you cannot fault))
1 Brent Prismall (Cool as under fire. Absolute top pick up)
Too far for Baker now he's on to it, now he’s got it, OPEN GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Dons are in front by one point at the 8 minute mark
