Good! f*** off you ungrateful bastard! As mentioned above, we stood by him through his personal issues and to throw it back in our face, putting himself above the team. GET f*****!!! I don't care. Give someone else a go who actually wants to play! Burgoyne for Lovett will be a great switch.

at first i was like no way can we afford to lose him but now im fine with it... if we get Burgoyne then thats a massive bonus

Lets face it, the Lovett/Essendon combo has never worked and and never will. Burgoyne is a class above Lovett and I would happily take the swap.

I suspect that there is a bit more to the story than has been made public.

The story that Lovett and his agent put out today was that Lovett was given his marching orders (complete with an emotional hug with Knights...)

Seems the price has come down too - back to a more affordable 400K a year

Suspet there is a little more to play out here

I doubt that the trade will happen. I cant see Lovett going to Port, some of the players there despise him.

Either mate. If they had the same ability and were 22, then yes. But top 6 picks are a premium, and even more so with this being the last uncompromised draft for a few years.

Jetta is looking for a house in melbourne so I don't think he is planning to leave there...his manager has been talking to other clubs though (source...one of his aunties who I work with)
