Hopefully Dempsey is the sub. Or they spring a surprise and ditch the rule altogether tomorrow.

...pace?...Hmmm...and what about accuracy and zero turnovers? We are talking about Dempsey? C Dempsey? (please prove me wrong )

We could do with some more pace, but not the poor disposal and rubbish decision making.DC2 wrote:yep. you and me seem to be the only ones.gringo wrote:I'm glad Dempsey is back. We need more pace.j-mac31 wrote:Great that Hams is back; shame about Ashby.

Aaron Francis is the Messiah.
Re: Round 4 vs Filth
I'm on board. I reckon he gives us terrific drive from the half backline and I would always have him in my best 22.DC2 wrote:yep. you and me seem to be the only ones.gringo wrote:I'm glad Dempsey is back. We need more pace.j-mac31 wrote:Great that Hams is back; shame about Ashby.

Re: Round 4 vs Filth
Dempsey always worries me - but if he can do the hard defensive stuff (esp tackle) well, run-off and create when he can, then I will forgive the odd turnover.
Re: Round 4 vs Filth
Does anyone know who the Blonde Supporter with the glasses is? Possibly the only one who still believed at that point!
I have watched this so many times. STILL AWESOME.

I've never said the word 'f***' with so much gusto and volume than at the time that Jetta fumbled the ball in front of the open goal. Thought that was the last chance.BenDoolan wrote:Just to remember...

I'm Donning The Sash for Dempsey also. Yeah, he does make the odd clanger, but everyone makes some sort of mistake during a match. But I reckon his run and creativity more than make up for it. Besides, IIRC the last part of last year he was quite good defensively (tackling etc).rockhole wrote:I'm on board. I have an awful feeling about this match. Ghosts of years past I think.
I just know Swan and Pendlebury will run amok, and kick 6 between them, and some other Filth unknown will make a name for themselves despite having never shown anything previously (and never will again)
I know we're sick of saying it, but if we're ever to prove we're the real deal, it's a must win match.

Especially when I was celebrating a 'certain goal' before he f***** it up. It made for a better ending - LUCKILY!

I love Emu Dempsey!!! One of my favorite players at the club!!! Yes he has the odd turnover but he provides pace and Xfactor. I have said for a long time I prefer him on a wing as opposed to half back so he can back himself and run without leaving a hole in defense. Come on Hirdy....Let the EMU run!!!!
Can't wait for the game today...Go Bombers!!!! If we win it'll be wins against hawthorn, Carlton and Collingwood in three weeks straight.... It simply cannot get better than that! fingers crossed I'm waving the scarf at full time today [-o<

Two standouts:BenDoolan wrote:Just to remember...
1 - Jetta - what a under-performing tease. Was always Paddy's stable pony.
2 - Andrew Lovett - what a shame - what a waste of talent. Imagine if we had him at his best today.
Reflection - was this better than the Hawthorn win in Round 2?
Observation - wet day - always fills me with dread against The Orcs.
My material isn't very good..Oh...and then there's the bladder problem.
Re: Round 4 vs Filth
No Changes. Subs: Will Hams (EssendonFC) and Sam Dwyer (FilthFC).
Re: Round 4 vs Filth
Summed Jetta up perfectly that one. Nailed the first one, should've got the second (HTB non call) and then ballsed up the 3rd.Gimps wrote:I've never said the word 'f***' with so much gusto and volume than at the time that Jetta fumbled the ball in front of the open goal. Danger signs. Our movement going forward is terrible.

Pretty even first half with both sides having periods of domination.
I would like to see Ambrose doing more. He should be under less scrutiny than Joe and Jane and could position himself away from those two guys.

Re: Round 4 vs Filth
Yeah their running game is stronger. We are lacking confidence. Hope Hird can instill some in them at half time because when we get to our attacking 50 we've got some good moves worked out and great pressure in goals. Boys are on song today. Go Bombers!

Strangely enough...I think we will win this
I'd move Hooker to full forward and Carlisle back
