Brumaz, stick with us kid, we'll make you a star - or at least keep you up to date ;)

BR I wondered the same. Perhaps he's been reading Big Footy and is sick of everyone saying he's a selfish player ;)

MJ very unlucky, Brown slipped into that 'high'.

Took the mark on 50 from a shocking Brisbane kick/rebound but instead of going back and slotting it he kicked to a pack (with Scotty at the back) which resulted in a punch thru behind.

Looks like we didn't take much kicking practice during the week, certainly not as much as we should've.

Gosh Lions have a lot of fanta pants.

Hird is on fire in this quarter.

Now JJ lining up.

Hird has taken 8 marks this quarter. Lloyd on the bench getting work done on his hammy.

JJ Goals!

BR they were manipulating alright but it wasn't his hammy? I could be completely wrong, not at all familiar with these things, but do they manipulate the hammy starting at the lower back? I suppose anything from the waist down starts at the lower back.

Qtr Time
Ess 3.6.24
Bris 2.4.16

I'm loving Hird in the forward line. Big worries with Lloyd though. His hamstring is now a chronic injury.

Shame about the usual ratshit umpiring interpretations.

Get some scoring accuracy. :x

Ok thoughts on the first term? I didn't think it was too shabby at all, barring the inaccuracy in front of goals.

In saying that potentially we could've been towelled up nicely had we been playing someone better.

Not playing like a top 4 side. Tackling been very very good. Linking up nicely through the middle. Hirdy having a tidy game indeed.

LisK might be calling it early about a chronic injury? Might just need some time to build confidence back up.

Commentary suggested he was getting quite a bit of work done on the hammy...

Qtr time we're up by 8.

We're moving the ball well, but still falling over at inopportune times. Having said that, Hird is playing a masterful game (yes I know it's only qtr time) up forward, where he should have been from Round 1.

Lloyd seems a bit apprehensive. Had an opportunity to go back and have a shot from just outside 50 (marked right on the 50) and instead rushed his kick to kick to a pack (I know he was trying to hit Scotty in the square but it was punched thru).

Lloyd evidently taking anti inflammatories for the hamstring, working on heavily, started on the ground.

Pevs down?

I think it's a serious worry. He's been OK in most games, but nothing like what he's capable of.

He's starting on the ground, so that good news.

Lloyd had plenty of work during the break. Sounds like a fair bit of concern.

... in the meantime Selwood just kicked a goal

about 20 seconds gone in the quarter. Peverill just got cleaned up by Brown. Plenty of courage then though

Pevs actually backed into the contest and took out Michaels. Pevs off the ground, hopefully nothing will come of that.

You're right BR Lucas just doesn't seem like his heart is in it today?

Perhaps Lloyds change in form has a lot to do with his working up the ground more, away from FF. He might be feeling FFsick.

Has anyone else got this telecast? I'll update on Pevs as soon as I hear. I don't think it's much, but he's still a very important part of our team thus far this season.

Cole was excellent bursting from that pack just then but then we ballsed it up by selling players into trouble and then had to slap it thru for a behind.

Stanton nearly had one bounce through for him... thought Lloyd should have shepherded better.
