West Coast - The Real Test

Talk about everything Essendon. Past, Present and Future if it's about the Bombers this is the place to be.

Now if we can just get Crameri up and running, things will definitely swing our way

Crameri out - I am not sure how we can kick a winning score (remember our last 2 wins - he has kicked 5 and 4 goal respectively - the loss in between saw him kick none!)

Yes that is exactly what will happen. Exactly like that Hird game in 2004. The Essendon crowd will be on the umpires backs the entire time.. it won't matter whether it is the most blatant head high tackle, push in the back or holding the ball... the crowd will boo mercifully like they did in 2004... and naturally the umpires won't pay free kicks because of crowd pressure... we are going to get ass raped.
Hahahaha...yes...in that 2004 game it was Ess 15 frees to WCE 21 frees. And Hird didn't get a vote despite being clear BOG.

But let the facts get in the way of a good story.....
Umpires cost him the Brownlow that week. Was it the week after his public McLaren truism?

Yes, although Hird was not in contention in 2004 (was a pretty ordinary season by his standards). I remember watching the Brownlow telecast in 2004 and the entire crowd guffawed with bemusement when they read out the votes for that game and Hird got none. It was the moment when every single person who had two brain cells to rub together realised that the Brownlow Medal is almost a complete waste of time as umpires:

1) Are hopelessly biased
2) Are pithy little creatures taught to be completely intolerant to any criticism by the AFL no matter how justified
3) Do not necessarily allocate votes based on the best and fairest player, but instead on who they 'like'.

No change for us.

Hams and Selwood out for them, and no Nic Nat.

Great to have a settled lineup!! Let's hope Stewie is right to go... Thinking Spike will come in if he doesn't pull up with that knee

Much more confident now Nicnat and Selwood are out for the Toasters!!

I know I'm in the minority for this line of thinking, but I'd rather play those wankers with a full team.

Aw. Now we wont get to see the umpires allow constant throws all game long. That's dissapointing

And nor will we have to listen to the commentators wet themselves all night about what a star he is - despite only having 3 kicks for the match

Yes, but if we beat them at full strength when we're not, how good would that be!

I think we've underestimated how much the c unts hate us. Seems like we are their most hated team - they even call this week "Scum hate week".

They can get f*****.
